The other I bought on Amazon which attaches to the vent louvers is much better and phone in my line of sight. The quality of the product is quite good.

This came today...I easily installed it into an older Toyota Sienna which does not have all the bells and whistles of the newer vehicles. I have purchased other dash and window mount phone holders but they always seem to break or the adhesive fails in the heat. I put this into a cup holder easily. It is very sturdy and I expect it to last the rest of the lifetime of this secondary vehicle of ours and maybe the next. It rotates and tilts easily, and firmly holds a phone for audio map and Siri voice usage. The knobs to tighten the position seem to be very solid. I like that I it does not take up a full cup holder so I can easily put a water bottle into the same space.

For the price, this is a solid product. The clamp feels sturdy and the grip is strong. The tablet (I use an iPad mini) does not move around once put in position (even when I shake the mic stand where I have placed it).

It is made of plastic (for the price I don't think we can ask for more) so maybe with heavier tablets it might be different. Also, if you do apply some force on it, the clamp will move (i don't think one normally does that but to keep in mind - e.g. if you're using one in a pub someone might knock it over).

Overall, I'm happy with this item.
