As the title says, we've had this in our nursery for two years and have generally been quite pleased with it! We're obviously happy enough about it that we purchased a second camera for our toddler's room, and then an entirely new set (camera and monitor) for my in-law's place for when we go up there.Pros (including but not limited to):- this monitor is NOT on Wifi, so no one can hack into the stream and talk to your baby through the microphone (why are some people the way they are?! I digress). If you're like me and don't want a Wifi monitor, then this is a great option- for the price point, the camera quality (both day and night) is surprisingly decent- it can pan around most of the room- its "noise" setting has the option to be quite sensitive. I've always been able to hear my child making any sounds through the monitor -- even if they're just chatting or singing in their crib/bed. I like to be able to hear it all, just in case. Even so, there's a setting to change the sensitivity if you just want to hear crying for example and not all the chatter. I appreciate the flexibility this monitor offers- and then of course, the price-point. For what you're paying this absolutely does the trick. You can add additional cameras (as we have) and the monitor can bounce between the two as needed. It's great.Con:- it can be a bit glitchy. Every now and then (as in maybe once or twice a day) the camera and volume will pause for 1-3 seconds. This I guess is annoying? But nothing to write home over. Only one time have I needed to take a pin and insert it into the "reset" button on the monitor. But even then, the fact it has a reset button is great -- problem solved.I'd give this monitor 4 stars: I'm sure you could find a better (more expensive) one out there, but for this price, I think you're in the right place. We're happy with ours: two years, two kids, and counting!

Bought this in late 2021. Baby came in early 2022. Used a few times weekly in 2022. Been using daily for about 10-12 hours a night, damn near every night, since early 2023 (over 18 months of long daily use). It freezes for a few seconds every now and then. When I am 2 floors apart and on the other side of the house the connection isn't great. That said, it has faaarrr exceeded my expectations. I thought I would be happy to get a year out of it. Even the battery hasn't changed much since we bought it. I mean, we charge it every night but still. It'll last just fine for those precious hours from when kiddo goes down to when we go to bed no problem, even still. If it stopped working now I would it again. Bought another one for my parents about a year ago. It sees relatively little use but also no problems with that one so far. Maybe my expectations were too low but this thing has been great.

Unfortunately this camera is garbage. I bought this one in January and it died tonight. Won’t charge anymore, prior to that the screen always had glitches. It would black out often or have a bunch of lines down the screen or show up a bunch of colours. I put up with that because it would stop eventually but ya now it doesn’t work at all. My sister had gave me hers as well not knowing I bought one, so I had two actually.. used hers for a bit before using mine and it did the exact same thing. So I was happy to have my original purchase as back up. Didn’t expect it to happen to mine so soon though. Absolute waste of money, I will now need to purchase another one (not this brand) as soon as possible and lose precious sleep and me time during her nap time because I’ll be too worried about her waking up and I cannot see her tossing. So annoying. Again DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Update: Glitching a bit more and the left and right buttons don't always work. I've tried to contact the company regarding their warranty coverage but have not heard anything for several weeks.

Overall we are quite happy with this little monitor. It is a good price and works fairly well. After about 6 months of use it has started to glitch sometimes and doesn't always connect right away when turning it on, but generally speaking it has been reliable. It has good picture and sound quality and we like the features it has as well.

I find a lot of reviews are done right after purchase and I wanted to provide an honest review just under a year later of purchase. First of all, I want to say that I feel like the 1-star reviews are from people who didn’t contact the company and find out if anything can be done to resolve their issues. I say this because recently, I reached out to them to help me with a “fading” monitor and I’ve had nothing but excellent customer service from them. With a few days of troubleshooting, they sent me a brand new one which was perfect as we really enjoy this monitor.

I’m currently using this for our cottage with 2 cameras connected to it. I can tell you that it’s been more than reliable. The range if fantastic and my favorite part is the battery life. You don’t want to be hunting for a charger sitting on a dock with a cold brew in your hands after an hour. (I have this issue with our VTECH system at home).

To sum it up quickly, here are some pro’s and con’s to consider:

Pros:
- Fantastic battery life
- Good enough picture quality. I’m not looking for Hi-Def quality here from a monitor at this price point.
- Phenomenal Range
- Ability to move the angle of the camera remotely
- VOX mode is actually helpful with it’s sensitivity settings. My VTECH goes off if you have a sound machine in the room but this one really works well even with our sound machines
- Customer service is outstanding and very helpful. They stand behind their product and are willing to help if you treat them with the respect one would deserve.
- Night-mode works as expected!

Cons:
- The volume control is in the menu which is a bit annoying to change. I wish they just added two little buttons somewhere for volume buttons and this would be a great little solution.
- Although the LCD is color, I find it a little “washed-out”. Still, at this price point, it’s clear and manageable.

NOTE: I would add a picture but how many cribs does one need to see…

I am a mother of 4 and have used a few different monitors over the years, but this HelloBaby by far has been the best. I have used this monitor for 2 of my 4 children, still using it for my 2 year old now, and plan on continuing to use it for our next baby too. I have even been gifted other monitors with all of the fancy bells and whistles that I tried out, but I just end up stopping use of them and going back to this tried and true monitor that I love. This is simple and easy to setup and use, not at all confusing like some others. No wifi or Bluetooth connection. In fact one of my favorite features about this is that it does not have to connect to wifi, which can be spotty, and I have never had to worry about a stranger hacking into our monitor that way. It has great range and reaches all throughout our 4,000 sqft home, and has even worked inside our nextdoor neighbors house too. My husband was still at home, but I carried the monitor over to my neighbor's with me so that I could watch my baby sleeping. The volume turns up loud and clear so that I can hear it throughout our house, and turns down quiet enough that I myself can get a good night's sleep without waking up from every little sound that my baby makes. But the lowest setting is still loud enough to wake me if my baby is crying. The picture is crisp and clear, and I love that there is the temperature always displayed so that I know if I need to adjust the heat or air. We have traveled with this so much over the years and always take it with us when we visit family, and have never had trouble with it not working in any of the houses that we have stayed in. I have never found that anything interferes with the connection causing it not to work, and that is most important to me. If there was one thing that I could change about this monitor it would have to be having the time displayed on the screen so that I don't have to look between my cellphone and monitor for that, but it has not been a problem over the past 4 years of using it. I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a quality simple monitor that doesn't stress you out setting up and using it.
