It’s great for getting the job done, comfortable and easy to turn on while wearing it. Bright enough for the job and doesn’t get hot as some other headlamp (doesn’t makes your head sweat) Unfortunately one the head lamps does die rather quickly about 40-60 min of continuous use while the other can last hours. The great thing is you get 2! So charging and alternating between both works well. In the end can’t complain about the price and what you get for.

It is pretty bright when in a small dark room or area, but if it is a large room or any sort of open space, it only lights up a few meters ahead. Battery life only lasts about 3-4 hours use at the brightest setting, I need to charge it every 2 days as a electrical apprentice.

Using a strip of LEDs across the front, and then putting the battery on the back is smart. It's more comfortable than the headlamps I'm used to, and provides light all around your field of vision. I no longer feel like I need to aim the light from my headlamp. I've used this for biking and camping, and it works great for both. For biking the rear light is a great addition, which I now use in addition to the rear light that's affixed to my bike. For camping the red rear light is less valuable, but it can be toggled separately, so you won't be wasting battery life on a light you don't need. It got rained on heavily while I was biking, but worked fine in the rain, and continues to work fine now. The battery life has not been a problem whatsoever. I don't even have to think about it. Overall, I'm very happy with these new headlamps. As always, I'll update my review if they break anytime soon.

I picked up a different headlamp at a running store a few years back and it was pretty good, but these babies are way better. The rear flashing red light is okay. Good for being out on a path or trail where someone can come up behind you. I mostly don't use that. I love the style of the front LED light -- the way it contours to your head means that the light it casts fills your peripheral vision pretty well. I find the light on low is plenty most of the time. I tend to wear it out at night when walking the dog or just taking him out to do his business. It is so much easier to just have a leash and poop bag to manage in your hands, without also juggling a flashlight. It sits nicely and comfortably -- even when worn over a wool cap/toque or ball cap. Finding how to charge it took me a few minutes of scratching my head and wondering what I did with any paperwork it might have come with. Eventually I discovered that the little battery "icon" next to the indicator that tells you how much battery life is left -- well it's not an icon - it lifts up and reveals a USB micro B port. They charge up pretty fast. I use one of the two and gave one to my 86 year old mom who loves it. She wore it during a power outage and loved that she could potter about. She also wears it when she goes out with the dog or what have you. We both love them!!
