In head-to-head battle, 2 players search for the enemy's fleet of ships and destroys them one by one. With convenient portable battle cases and realistic looking naval crafts, the Battleship game puts players right in the middle of the action. Players command a powerful fleet that includes an aircraft carrier, a destroyer, a submarine, a patrol boat, and a battleship. Each player announces the coordinates of each strike and sees if it hits. Position ships strategically to survive an opponent's relentless strikes, and track hits and misses with red and white pegs on the ocean grid. No ship is safe in this game of stealth and suspense. I paid only $CAN10.00 for this set which makes it a very good buy. Not sure I would buy for $CAN29.99 though. It is for someone to decide. Everything is expensive these days. That said, the game is made of sturdy plastic. The two cases lock well together. The pieces are big enough, in my opinion. They are easy to pick up and manipulate. Easily fits in a suitcase or can be brought in the car for long rides as they are small enough and the two cases detach from each other so the kids can play together no matter where they are sitting. Not sure how hard the game is to learn but my 8 years old triplet boys love it.

The fun, straightforward childhood game I missed so much.
This updated set is better functionally than the old ones too. Being able to sit further apart and be comfortable is so nice. The way it packs up and clips together makes it very convenient for transport. All the pieces feel of decent quality and looks cool too. Still have a lot of fun playing this game and it's so easy to teach those who haven't played before.
Got it for $17.09 and it's so worth it.

I'm fairly certain everyone knows what Battleship is and knows how to play. I won't comment on the game itself just on the product manufacturing. Looks good, clips together easily for storage, and for the most part is quality construction. I would however reinforce the hinges to take a little more abuse and the plastic inserts for the water effects are not aligned and do not move. If you attempt to adjust them to lay flat it doesn't appear as though that will go well. You may end up with a cataclysmic event where you part the water down the middle or something like in the days of Moses. Aside from the odd shaped and misplaced water insert, the product appears to be in working order and I'd recommend this new look over the older generations from years gone by.
