After weeks of looking, reading reviews, and talking to those more tech savvy than I, (that's just about everybody) I bought a laser printer, on sale from Amazon. After the "starter" toner ran out, I was confused about the next step. I chose this toner because of the good reviews. I was concerned about installing it, but it was very simple, and has worked well from day one. I can't speak to the longevity, since it's only been in use for about six weeks, but so far so good. Working well, print is clear and clean, no smudging. Great choice.

Quality is remarkable for black-and-white. Very happy with it even printing photos on my laser printer. The downside is that the printer told me six months into the use which was not so much use really that I was running low on toner.
That was a year and a half ago. I’ve been using it for two years now still going strong only may be a slight fading. So, what I did when I noticed a slight fading from black to gray, I took the toner out, shook it up and then placed it back in and it looks great again.

That’s an old trick. I used back when I had an HP 5L purchased used at Goodwill 20 years ago. Never had to replace that toner. Basically mostly use it for shipping labels with the barcodes and have printed some photos that look great. Everything is grayscale. Purchased this toner now about two years after purchasing the printer.

I haven’t taken this out of the box yet. Haven’t needed to. But, after over a year of getting the message that I’m running low on toner, I decided I have a spare. keep in mind I paid a little bit extra for this laser printer. The model I got does not require having the HP subscription service for ink. In my mind, there’s no reason to have an ink subscription for a laser printer with toner. These can last years without drying up as they’re already dry. It’s a powder and you won’t be replacing them very often. I mostly just print documents the labels as mentioned and sometimes I’ll make a grayscale black-and-white photo and print that. Very nice quality. As mentioned. not sure why it tells you so soon after and maybe it’s the number of pages printed or something that it’s low on toner when it really doesn’t seem to be. That message is pretty annoying. I have to click off on it every time I print for the past year and a half.
