I just got this printer today but I know I am going to love it, it is easy to set up but I am warning everybody do not put your bank info and for any subscription because I had to cancel my bank card because of that I am on a disability pension and they want over $70 with the tax for it I don't think so I'll, so please be careful if anybody is installing this printer on there mobile device let me warn you you got to download the three HP smartphone apps but after that it will be fine

I've been using the printer for several days now and actually like it very much! It's whisper quiet on the printing and the scanning. While it was scanning, I had to check it to see if it was still working because I didn't hear anything! It's THAT quiet! The printed documents and photos came out nicely with vibrant colors. Not bad for a bargain printer. It was very easy to set up my account and HP Smart app. Printer sharing with friends and family was very simple too. The printer came with free 3 months of ink, which is actually their Instant Ink subscription free trial period. The box did come with regular starter HP black and tri-color ink cartridges. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that during the 3 months free trial of the Instant Ink, although I chose a plan that gives me up to 50 pages per month, I am able to print up to 700 pages per month for free during the 3-month trial period. Depending on my usage during the trial period, it will help me decide if the ink subscription plans are right for me or not. If not, then I will just need to replace the HP Instant Ink compatible cartridges with regular HP ink cartridges before the trial period ends and continue using my printer as normal without the subscription. The Instant Ink cartridges will stop working when the subscription plan expires after cancellation. So far, I have enjoyed the printer. The ability to print from anywhere is a great feature! It's not the fastest printer in the world, but it definitely does the job!

This is one of the more affordable printers I came across on my rushed journey to replace my printer before my approaching finals. The set up took a little bit, but was pretty straightforward between the manual provided and the step-by-step given by the HP Smart application.

This printer itself runs a little slow, and doesn’t print double sided automatically (it prints the odds on one side, then you have to reload so it’ll print evens on the other side) which isn’t the most convenient, but also not the most bothersome for personal use. I wouldn’t use this printer for larger jobs based on this fact alone.

I’ve only had it for about 24 hrs but the internet connectivity was easy to set up and hasn’t given me any issues thus far. I’ve not experienced any type of paper jamming issues, and the noise seems pretty on par with your average printer; not too loud but not necessary quiet.

Overall I’m giving it 4 stars because while it’s not the best printer I’ve ever used, I think it more than decent considering it’s a third of the price of other printers on the market!

UPDATE: when I was FINALLY able to actually speak to human (after navigating the firewall of automated computer and telephonic systems), support was extremely helpful (shoutout Elmer). Support on their app is basically FaceTime so they can actually see what the issues are and help you solve them/set the product up—which again was insanely difficult. With that said, it’s been awhile since I used an inkjet printer-they are much slower than laser, the ink will smear until it’s dried, and the picture quality isn’t nearly as sharp-which is fine for me as I’m using it mainly for craft projects but don’t expect to be able to print big batch jobs efficiently. Also, the scanner doesn’t have an automatic feed, so you can only do a page at a time. But I’m now pretty happy with the purchase and you manage you expectations and CALL support to help you set it up, you probably will be too for the price. I was also able (eventually) to set it up on a usb as opposed to WiFi (they push their monthly services pretty hard which need WiFi) but it obviously doesn’t come with a usb printer cord.

FIRST OF ALL, I DID NOT SEE ANYWHERE IN THIS POST THAT THE PRODUCT IS WIFI ONLY-you cannot wire it to connect (it doesn’t even come with that wire). So that was the first GIANT disappointment bc I bought it for work where WiFi printers are not allowed bc we work with sensitive information.

But beyond that, EVERYTHING in the reviews (that I ignored) is true…setup is ATROCIOUS. I can usually figure stuff out but this was a NIGHTMARE that has so far been unsuccessful. Also, “support” is a joke. Literally the woman I bought ink cartridges from at target today was WAY more helpful than the bot I “chatted” with for help today. THE PAPER INSTRUCTIONS IN THE BOX LEAVE OUT CRUCIAL INFORMATION—MUST READ INSTRUCTIONS ON THE WEBSITE. And LOL at getting to speak to an actual human so that BASIC questions could be answered as opposed to being told they need to run remote diagnostics that will take at least 30 minutes because they literally don’t try to find out from you what the issue is. But they DO ask for your phone number and email 16 times.

Rating a 2 bc I’m still holding out hope I can getting this junk to function….Will update tomorrow if I have any luck. YOU DEFINITELY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

For the price, this is a fine printer. It's about typical size and easy to set up. It comes with printer ink and because I don't print a lot, don't anticipate needing to spend a lot there. The scanner is great but you do need to use a program called HP Smart. It's free and once you figure it out (I was quite frustrated initially thinking I had managed to buy a printer that didn't scan so kudos to the fine humans who post videos about such things), scanning to a file on your linked computer is easy. I can't wax on about it too much more. It's a multi-function printer. It does what it should do. I've had it for a couple months and have had no issues.

Also included is a 3 month free subscription for ink and after only 4.99(assuming you decide to keep the subscription )

What I didn’t like was the instructions there was a few sets of instructions none of which were helpful. You need a computer to set it all up , couldn’t figure out set up on my phone without first getting on my laptop.

All in all a good purchase. I do suggest you read online how to set it up because in my opinion the instructions were not clear.
