Purchased these to use on a tripod adapter that when fitted to the camera (Canon M50 with an accessory flexible cover) the original screw only held on by approx one thread. After checking lengths I cut down and trimmed the new screw so that I now have approx four threads (four full turns) into the base of the camera reducing the risk of the camera unexpectedly coming off the mounting plate when moving around.
