It does what it says it’s going to do. I just hooked it up to my iPad and off I go. I will say though, that I am not drawing with it. I am rather editing photos, etc. with it and it works great for me. And being such a reasonable price I’m not so worried about losing it. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I've tried both this and the official Apple Pencil 2nd generation. The official Apple Pencil is roughly 10 times more expensive. This one will do almost everything the official one does.

I used it for taking notes and for drawing in Procreate. The only thing it can't do is pressure sensitivity but that was not a huge problem for drawing in Procreate.

The biggest downside is that it makes an audible whining noise when it is charging on the side of the iPad, but it feels like they intentionally added this to create an artificial downside.

In summary, I would pick this over a real Apple Pencil.

my dog chewed up my apple pencil and i did not want to spend another $200 on a stylus, and i will list the differences and similarities that i found good and bad from both apple pencils.

SIMILARITIES
- both attach to the side of my ipad mini 6
- has wireless charged
- writes like an apple pencil

DIFFERENCES
- original apple pencil is much heavier, while this one feels lighter and cheap and plastic-y
- this apple pencil has a light the end tip that shows battery life
- does not have pressure sensitivity unlike original
- comes with extra nibs!

OVERALL TAKE
this is a very good budget apple pencil, while you cant expect apple quality youre saving yourself a heck ton of money! what i like most is the attention to detail, while it does offer wireless charging, if your ipad doesnt support that feature, the pencil comes with a charging cable and slot near the end of the pencil. if you dont use it, it has a protector to keep it away from dust- but be wary that it wont lay down flat on the edge of the ipad for wireless charging. it also doesnt have as strong of a magnet as the apple pencil, which makes it prone to slipping off when grabbing your ipad. there is no pressure sensitivity which sucks but isnt the end of the world for me, but something to keep in mind if that is a feature you would like. still, it checks off all the boxes for everyday notetaking, i just hope its chew proof!

I've been using the HATOKU Pencil 2nd Generation for nearly two and a half months, and it has exceeded my expectations. The pen has a great feel—not too heavy and not too light—making it very comfortable to hold. Turning it on and off is easy with a simple click on the top.

The latency is impressively low, and the performance is superb, especially with a paper-like screen protector on my tablet. Battery life is outstanding; I’ve never encountered any issues with charging. Remarkably, I haven't needed to change the tip yet. The price is fantastic, being less than a third of the cost of an Apple Pencil. Overall, this stylus is a top-notch, affordable alternative. Highly recommended!
