So far it's a great product and easy to navigate through the app. Wish there was a synchronization button where you can tie all of them together but you can individually go and do them yourself. In my picture I went with Oilers colors (NHL) you can set a timer on them so they turn off when the sun comes up or goes down. I live where it can reach - 46 so I'm confident they will do good even though these are indoor lights.

This was exactly what we were looking for to go above our table. If anything this light is super bright so most of the time we have it around 10% brightness and that's plenty for us. And I love that you can make it a nice warm light

The app offers so many different settings, there's a setting for pretty much any occasion! It's got auto-timers and easy in-app access. Or leave it at your favorite settings and per-set timers and let it do it's thing day in and day out!

All of Govee's products intentionally have LAN API access disabled, and they force you to use their hosted API to interact with your devices - with ONE bulb, you will exceed that rate limit by simply toggling the device on/off a few times a day; never mind trying to change colours, as we're talking ONE REQUEST per SIX full SECONDS of waiting: if you exceed that limit, you are waiting 24 HOURS before you can turn your light on or off.

If you have upwards of 20 devices, like I was stupid to purchase Govee devices for, they are basically useless aside from being dumb bulbs - you would be MUCH better off simply buying plain bulbs over Govee ones, as the functionality is IDENTICAL when the _smart_ capabilities are so completely neutered.

Govee: a basic rate-limit is reasonable, but try a rolling window rate-limit that doesn't leave your customers unable to use their devices for up to 24 hours + even then only being able to interact with them a handful of times per-day. OR, simply open up LAN API access on ALL your devices, so we don't need to use your poorly implemented API that you have needed to aggressively rate limit because you have forced your customers to use it instead of just being able to use these devices offline ENTIRELY, AS THEY SHOULD BE.

I was really pleasantly surprised once I created a Govee app and account how incredibly intuitive, pretty, and ease of skill addition positive these are, also with a great fit and look. Fantastic lights I will definitely order more.

I used to be a Kasa only person but now I have Kasa and Govee in my house and I will continue to order Govee products. I am a consumer for life, but definitely set yourself up an account. Even if it’s with a dummy email it just makes life a lot easier! I do not take off though it’s really easy to do which is a junk email address that use for all this kind of stuff. The integration with Alexa is perfect and I’ve literally never had an issue on colors scene ambience, or balancing adjustment. Well done, Govee! Also, I want to remark about how easy it is to change from warm to neutral to bright white, because that makes a huge difference in my life and the fact that it does that and with zero issue reconnecting as a huge win.

We have several Govee products but this might be my favorite. The app is easy to use and change settings. The bulb is easy to connect to and it’s just plug and play at that point. My favorite setting is that I can adjust the settings to be on from dusk to dawn and it does it automatically. I no longer worry if my neighbors think I’m gone because my light goes on daily. I also love the array of colors that are available! It adds to holiday decor!

These smart bulbs work well and were super quick and easy to set up. I like that these connect directly to Alexa/Google instead of having to use an app like Vont, as these Chinese companies selling on Amazon (or Temu or AliExpress) are notorious for changing names and dropping support for their app/products, effectively leaving the lights (or other Smart product) completely useless for the intended smart functionality. Buyer beware of random Chinese companies (names are usually obvious as they’re just a random nonsensical mash up of words or letters—I.e., Govee, Vont, Orein, Daybetter, LightingInside, etc..), especially if they require a specific app as they can literally drop support and leave your product useless with no repercussions whatsoever. Vont is only the latest—just Google Vont and look at Reddit to find a long list of pissed off people that have useless “smart” bulbs they can’t use.
