Make Sure You have the Latest Software

For the latest features and optimal performance, be sure your HERO10 Black has the latest software. The fastest and easiest way to update it is with the GoPro Quik app. You can also update it manually.

Use Real GoPro Batteries

For maximum performance, use GoPro batteries designed for HERO10 Black. Non-GoPro batteries may fit in your camera, but could limit its performance. They may also break your camera and could cause safety risks.

Maximizing Battery Life

Use HERO10 Black’s Extended Battery mode to maximize your camera’s runtime. It uses the most energy-efficient resolutions and frame rates to extend battery life. Swipe down on the rear touch screen and tap the lightning bolt icon to access this mode.

Get an SD Card That Can Keep Up

You’ll need an SD card that’s capable of meeting the high-performance demands of HERO10Black. Use a brand-name card that fits these requirement: microSD, microSDHC, or microSDXC. Rated Classv30, UHS-3 or higher. Capacity up to 512GB

Capturing Longer Stationary Shots

Use the Tripod/Stationary mode for tripod-mounted or other still shots longer than 20 minutes. These shots require airflow to cool your camera. There’s likely to be less airflow for still shots (especially indoors). This mode lowers the frame rate to 30fps where airflow is not a factor. Swipe down on the rear touch screen and tap the lightning bolt icon to access this mode.

We all know GoPro makes a great product. Only issue I have is I can’t stream live on YouTube, one of the main reasons I bought the camera, spent countless hours with GoPro, trying to figure it out still no fix, oh well what can ya do.I still enjoy the camera it’s awesome for anything else!4 month later camera won’t turn on at all, tried new battery still nothing, I can’t stream on YouTube still, camera is useless to me, my IPhone is better!Tossing it in the junk drawer, waste of money!It hit the junk drawer today were it belongs!

I love my new GoPro10... the touchscreen was/is the only thing I haven't mastered yet, it's ultra-sensitive and you have to touch in exactly the right spot to get the option you want without it hopping over to something you don't want. However, with such a small space to work in. it's understandable. I found the battery/side door very hard to open at the beginning, broke my already-short fingernails and finally had to use a butter spreader to pry it open. It's eased up now after a dozen times, so now when I open it I can do that as easily as I see on youtube videos. I'm very happy with my GoPro 10

Carbon cub s2: I flew these batteries in my carbon cub and get 12 minute’s flying time. I’m not hard on the throttle but I don’t baby it either so that’s a great flying time. 👍👍👍👍

Got this camera for a trip to the tropics and it performed flawlessly! From biking through small island towns to snorkeling along coral reefs, the Hero 10 captured everything in fantastic detail. I haven't used the 5.3K video yet, but the 4K is magnificent. It takes great photos, too. The camera functions are easy and intuitive to use. This is going to be my go-to camera for most things professional and leisure now.

It does chew through battery power fairly quickly running 4K video, so I recommend getting additional batteries for a full day of video and photography

It’s my first GoPro and so far I’m enjoying it. Bought it mainly for motorcycle vlogging, and it suits the purpose, don’t think I need a GP 11 or 12, so the price difference was a big driver for me. Battery runs out fairly quickly, but according to search results on the internet, that appears to be normal for these action cameras (maybe a little worse on the 10?). Will buy extra batteries for it.

I bought the camera for my dad in father's day. He is an active cyclist. Everything in this camera is great - image quality, size, focal distance, frame rate and stabilization. However, the battery doesn't last too long, especially if you are recording in 4K and 5,2K. The camera also tends to warm if you work with this resolutions helping the battery die sooner - around 1h of autonomy. I recommend you to buy some extra batteries if you want to record for long periods of time.
