The first point to be made is that OEM camera batteries are always the way to go. My GoPro Hero 9 Black arrived in my care with one standard OEM battery and one aftermarket battery. The OEM batteries simply work better and relay accurate metrics when compared to aftermarket batteries. The workable lifespan of the OEM battery isn't very long an a GPH9, let alone the (comparably unreliable) aftermarket battery life. This is compounded SIGNIFICANTLY by the temperature fluctuations of my Atlantic Canadian environment.
Why does this matter? GoPro cameras are great at splitting long clips up. BUT if and WHEN the battery dies UNEXPECTEDLY such as due to the temperature dropping, it is very possible that the clip that was being recorded gets corrupted and the camera does not signal that it is shutting down. it simply ceases to function and you likely will not realize it until you are missing the footage from just before it died until after, when you realize your folly mid activity, or worse- finish doing what you were intending to capture.
The enduro batteries completely solve my gripes and placate my sense of distrust of the standard battery when the weather turns toward freezing. The enduro batteries really are a great investment if you need to squeeze every last milliamp hour from the battery reliably.
The twin battery charger charges two batteries and it does so reasonably well. It is a smart charger so no fear of leaving it plugged in too long. It functions well when charging from my PC's USB (a great choice while transferring/editing/rendering) or from a wall outlet USB power supply. The included cable is very sturdy as well.
My verdict is that the two enduro batteries and the double charger (the beloved battery toaster) is a fantastic value and it affords lot of opportunity to keep going out and recording. Consider that you get two healthy batteries and a charger that allows you to charge three batteries at once instead of one (2 in the charger and 1 in the camera as is done by default). If you are busy, the time saved by having batteries to swap and an external charger that functions without holding up your camera is well worth the investment. If you are on the femce, this is the side of it that you want to land on.
