I bought these for the compost boxes my area provided. These are my first plastic ones as I was initially given paper bags. I am unsure if these are typical problems with compost plastic bags but I find these easily leak through when there’s barely any liquids in the bag. Also, when tearing for a new bag, it often rips at the top of the bag, sometimes making the drawstrings useless — a main reason why I chose these compost bags. (See picture)

Great concept, and I find them cleaner to use.
They do tear on the sides with eggshells at times. But most bags do anyways.

I've lost a few in the box so far because the bag teared at the wrong part when trying to tear away a bagfrom the roll. That should have them pre cut. Otherwise, the draw string is a great format for staying up over my metal canister and keeping the hands clean when closing the full bag

City of London Ontario - doesn’t fix green bin. Seem to be well constructed. Tore when tried to make fit our green bin. But that is user error as our green bins are a bit too big for these bags. Otherwise bags seem to do their job. Didn’t leak.

Have bought glad composting bags before in the past and have been happy with them. Decided to try this drawstring version for easier closure but very disappointing. Every bag is missing the opening on one side to pull the drawstring through which then defeats the purpose of having the drawstring. To make it work, I tear the bag material to pull the loop through unfortunately is too easy to do. I have yet to pull two bags apart without ripping a hole in them. No matter how carefully I pull along the perforated edge, the bag tears. I keep doubling up 2 torn bags in order to stop leakage. No point using bags if they are just going to leak all over the container anyways plus much more expensive if I need to use 2 bags every time.

We got to try this bag as one was given with our kitchen and it simply cannot compare with the other ones in the market. I cannot seem to source them in store so I ordered them off Amazon. The best part about this is you can overfill a lot more than the other ones with the drawstrings.

What I do is have this one as the underlayer in case the top ( not as sturdy but cheaper) layer leaks. Worked well so far!
