Compared other waxes that typically get greasy or hard to control, this particular version (grunge mat) allows you to really control how you want to style your hair and indeed that's what happened. Please refer to Gatsby products information website to see which colour wax is for your uses.

This is the best hair styling clay I have found. Awesome hold with a clean matte finish. Though it may not be for everyone as everybody's hair is different it is definitely s keeper for me and I will order it again. I have medium to short fairly think hair and this stuff does an awesome job of keeping everything in place. Can also be restyled or freshened up during the day if need be with out adding more product, just a little water. Good stuff Gatsby! Thank you.

Smells nice, holds well, and lasts a long time. The matte look is great if that's what you're looking for. My only complaint is that it makes your hair feel a little gross: not quite sticky to the touch, but you can definitely feel that there's stuff in your hair. I think that's to be expected with most hair wax though.
