This trimmer was easy to assemble, the parts fit together in only the right way. Only one phillips screwdriver was required to attach the included guard just behind the blade. It includes battery charger and one battery. It also includes a carry strap, so using it is quite easy. How well does it work? He’s used a corded electric hedge trimmer for years to trim his 500+ azaleas, so is very familiar with its use and knows what it can cut and what it can’t. He states that this trimmer’s blades do not oscillate as quickly as his electric (shorter) trimmer, so this one isn’t likely to be able to cut through thicker branches. However, his purpose for this is not to have to cut the thicker branches, only the thinner ones nearer the top. He is absolutely thrilled with this trimmer. He’s mentioned this to me no fewer than five times since he’s begun using it. Believe me, if he’s happy, I’m happy! FIVE stars!!
