Product Overview
The XF23mmF2 R WR is a wide-angle lens with advanced image resolution, capable of drawing out the full performance of Fujifilm's proprietary X-Trans CMOS sensor. It has a similar size and design flair of the existing XF35mmF2 R WR, to make up a stylish collection of compact lenses. The inner-focus AF system uses a stepping motor* to drive the focusing group of lens elements for silent and fast autofocus.
The metal exterior gives a sense of premium quality and robustness, and the aperture ring and focus ring have been designed for optimum operability. The lens is also weather and dust resistant and operates at temperatures as low as -10°C, making it an ideal choice for outdoor photography.

Optional Accessories
- This lens can be used with the vented metal hood 'LH-XF35-2,' which is also compatible with the XF35mmF2 R WR. Coinciding with the launch of the XF23mmF2 R WR, a silver version of the lens hood is will also be released, allowing users to choose an optional hood that matches the color of the lens.
Fast and Silent Autofocus
The inner-focus AF system** uses a stepping motor to drive lightweight focusing elements for silent and fast autofocus. When combined with the phase detection AF system of FUJIFILM X-Pro2 and X-T2, the lens can focus in an astonishing 0.05 seconds***.
** An AF system that moves relatively small lens elements in the middle or at the rear for focusing.
*** Using an internal measurement method compliant with the CIPA Guidelines, with the High Performance mode turned on.

Very impressed with the build quality and performance of this great little prime lens which offers a versatile 53mm equivalent normal view suitable for most situations. Build quality is impressive with a metal satin-finished exterior, engraved markings and solid last-a-long-time feel. No rattling or movement inside. Color, contrast, and sharpness of pictures are satisfying & excellent. Bokeh is very good and will meet most people's needs. What impressed me the most though, relative to other X-series lenses, was the speed and silence of the internal focus, just touch the focus and boom it’s there with zero fuss or noise, just great! Also the aperture ring has been tightened up with much more distinct stops for more positive settings relative to earlier X-series lenses. Manual focus ring operation is smooth and silky. The included basic small lens hood is made from a high quality plastic that threads onto the end and still allows the easy-to-use lens cap to be attached. An optional larger metal lens hood with a bayonet mount is available if desired. Add weather resistant sealing to the package and you have a superb little gem of a lens that will pair nicely with your X-series camera and look great! Outstanding value (might I say a steal, especially during the Fuji sales) for a do-it-all prime lens. A great choice for your first X-series prime lens. I used this lens mainly for landscape and portraits and I have to say it is an great lens to use fast to autofocus and very sharp the build quality is phenomenal coming from a nikon dslr I think fuji nailled this one, I would strongly recommand.
