It's low enough to step over the walls (as long as you're not super short) which means you can fit it in spaces where something like a pack-n-play simply will not fit. My sister-in-law let us borrow her pack-n-play, but we almost never used it because we just didn't have the room. Plus, our son HATED being in it, right from the beginning. So we got this play pen. Being able to walk through it makes a huge difference, and it's big enough that we can get inside it to play with our son as well. We use it to extend the baby-proofed zone into the kitchen, so that our son can come with us into the kitchen, which has reduced his meltdowns everytime I leave the livingroom. It comes with little handles that you attach on the top bar, intended to assist in standing up. Well, since our son is way past needing that, he just chews on them and slaps them against the wall. It should be noted that the "floor" fabric is thin and slippery and is attached in a manner that makes it almost hammock like on the sides. We solved this obvious hazard by putting a square of foam underneath to give it a level floor, and putting a colourful playmat inside. Both the foam mat pieces and the foldable playmat (both bought at Walmart, but you can get them here on Amazon, too) fit perfectly.

When I first received this I was disappointed, I was expecting a nice beige based off the advertisement. It's more of a light yellow than beige. After expressing my disappointment the providers reached out to me quickly and notified me they will contact their design team to try to better their product. For this I give 5 stars for customerservice. Over all assembly was easy, and it's sturdy.
