I was running low on solder so I decided to try a different brand/size. It works fairly well, though I found it doesn't melt as quickly as some of my other solder's even though it's about 1/2 the size. The smaller size however does work in its favor for the smaller chips I've been working with.
Overall decent, would probably purchase again.

This is a good solder wire!

This particular Tin/Lead solder, 63/37 is a eutectic alloy which melts and freezes at 183°C. This unique property can be advantageous when soldering pigtails to lead wires without using any means of fixation. If you typically have used 60/40 solder wire, then you may find 63/37 a bit difficult to use at first. The reason is that your accustomed to a 10° temperature range that 60/40 remains molten.
I always apply rosin flux which I make myself from a supply of Georgia water-white grade pine rosin dissolved to saturation in 99% IPA.
This 63/37 solder wire produces quality, robust joints which are shiny and bright. It wets out and flows quite nice. Be sure to clean your soldering iron tip well and re-tin thoroughly if you were using a different alloy solder prior to 63/37. Otherwise the mix of alloys on the tip can produce a funky amalgam-like crud which will foul your first couple of joints you make with it.
I recommend this product and wish you all an awesome journey in the art of soldering.
Also note that the more fans you have blowing air at you and at the pending joint, will make using 63/37 very much more difficult to use.

I'm sure it's just me being a rookie at soldering but this solder seems to work if you have a lot of heat. It's like clumps up. It doesn't melt and flow like other solder I've used

This does NOT appear to be 63/37 leaded and eutectic solder but instead lead-free
Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2022Size: 0.8mm/100gVerified Purchase
I will update this review with more information once I hear back from the manufacturer, seller and Amazon. I am not a novice solder technician but a trained engineer with many hundreds of hours soldering prototype and MIL SPEC production boards. I have used many variants of leaded solder and nearly as many lead-free solders. I prefer leaded solder for small production runs and prototyping due to how well they flow. 63/37 is eutectic and makes soldering reliable and repeatable, which is important. Lead-free solder does not flow or behave like leaded solder, especially eutectic leaded solder (there are eutectic lead-free alloys but they require higher heat, chemical coatings and can suffer mechanical issues amongst other problems). This solder is listed as 63/37 leaded, flux-core solder but behaves likes lead-free solder. It flows more poorly than leaded solder at similar temperatures and requires far more dwell time on the joints to get similar joint penetration. The resulting joints are duller in appearance than leaded joints (after cleaning, of course) and unless you account for lead-free solder, the resulting joints are often of poorer quality than leaded. Additional flux did not seem to help this solder behave any better. The stated flux-core appeared to be much less than described or completely ineffective. I will do more testing against a couple of name-brand leaded solder and lead-free SaC (eutectic) solder to test my initial findings. I hope to shoot video and upload it for this review but I might use pictures, instead. Regardless, this solder does not flow like 63/37 leaded solder, does not appear to have the stated flux composition and even with additional RA flux, it is not well behaved. The joints remain dull and hazy even with higher tip temperatures, longer dwell times and additional flux. It is unpleasant to work with even for lead-free solder. At this point and from my limited experience using this solder for a single PCB rework project, I cannot recommend it. That might change after additional testing so stay tuned.
