What's the best mic to connect to this audio gaming mixer?

This audio gaming mixer is recommended to be used with Fifine AM8 XLR mic. However, it's NOT compatible with USB microphones.

Does this support 24v or 48v? Or do I need to purchase a separate one?

The audio interface supports 48V XLR phantom power for condenser mic. Just make sure to turn on the phantom power by pressing the button labled "48V".

Wasn’t sure about this, but at this price I figured “why not?” Works well for my dual PC streaming. Easy to set up and instructions were actually quite decent. One suggestion, buy good quality cables for your Aux cables. Had a static noise issue on first test. (Dollar store cable I had laying around). Changed it out for a $10 Walmart gold plated cable, noise is completely gone.

Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this for someone who is a gamer who wants something entry-level into streaming, because it's a great inexpensive little unit with some fun built-in features.

Used it in a single PC set up for just having fun when gaming over voice chat, was great for that. The build quality is fine, but cheap, which is expected for the price. Having said that, I think they missed the mark a bit on this unit, and could have added a few more features, and would still be a steal if it were more expensive and covered what I am listing below.

My issues/complaints:

1. I had an issue where the headphone monitoring stopped working, but next day started working again.

2. It only supports 16-bit audio at 48000/44000 Hz, where as my onboard audio support 24bit - arguably this isn't a big deal and likely won't hear a difference. But this technically was a downgrade in audio quality.

3. The volume range on the line-in could be a bit higher, as my input source was maxed out and still wasn't loud enough for me.

4. No software to tweak routing or anything.

5. Wish there was some noise gate or compression effects built-in

There is a lot to say about the SC3 mixer, but let me say my review of the product is overall very positive!

The set up was a little daunting with how many instructions were provided, but when you actually get into it, you realize the set up is actually quite simple. Chances are, your computer does it for you automatically. If it doesn't, the provided instruction manual is clear and concise enough to walk you through everything.

Once it's set up, understanding how everything works is pretty straight forward. Press buttons to turn on/off, or hold for more options. Again, also very clearly labeled in the manual.

The overall quality is great. The mixer itself feels like an inexpensive plastic, which made me a bit concerned, but it appears to be sturdy and will hopefully withstand constant use. Additionally, it is heavy enough that pushing the sliders up and down isn't going to cause it to shift. Unless of course, you're a little aggressive with it. I personally would have preferred if it was a little heavier, but for the price point, I have no complaints.

What I like about this mixer is that you can use it with a fancy XLR mic, or any random headphones. I even used it with ones I bought at the dollar store. The only downfall to this mixer is that it does not connect to USB microphones; which I find to be one of the most common middle ground options for people. So if you're expecting this to connect to USB, it won't. Otherwise, it'll be a great option for you! Just make sure to check the listing to see your microphone or headset, connects with this mixer.

I really enjoy the voice changing function on this mixer as well. I find that all of the voices are very clear and easy to understand; with the exception of the robot that isn't nearly as clear. The auto tune function is quite fun to play around with as well, and I love the fact that you are able to record custom audio to replay at any time. That makes a great function for streams.

The audio quality is nothing to complain about and is really easy to control and set/adjust the sliders to your perfect sound volume. It's much easier than having to find your volume control on the computer, or manually adjust speakers.

Overall, I am very pleased with this mixer. Despite my concerns about the lack of USB connection, and the weight of the mixer, it's a definite buy. If you're looking for an inexpensive mixer that does everything you need it to, this is the one to get!

Quality for the price is unmatched. However, in terms of build quality and features there are much better out there, but of course for a much higher price.
I'm running my XLR mic without a gain booster like the Cloudlifter and the audio level is fine but I have the gain set to max. If you want your input louder you may need to add a lifter

Greetings,

So my GoXLR died on me recently, and I was looking for a replacement. Instead of paying another 5 to 700 dollars on another GoXLR or similar, I thought I would give this a try. It's actually not bad... for a single PC use case.

I have 2 PC's, a Gaming unit and Streaming unit. I connected my mixer to the gaming PC, and the Mic does get picked up on the gaming system. The output is sent through the USB C cable to my gaming PC with no issues.

Once I get the 2nd PC into the mix... and connect the Output 3.5mm jack to my Line in of the Streaming PC, the most odd situation occurred. The Audio from my Gaming PC did get sent to the Streaming PC, but not the Mic?... If I hit the monitor mic button, it will then send the Mic audio to the Streaming PC... but I also have to listen to it in my headset...

I read through the instructions and couldn't figure out how to send the Mic audio through the Output jack without having to put it into monitor mode for the mic.

Even when I sent up a listening option via my Gaming PC such that the Mic audio is sent back to the unit via the standard output without using the monitor mic button... It worked, but I can still hear myself through my headphones. :/

I spent a few hours trying to find out where I went wrong or if I was missing something.

Overall, it's a nice unit, but the Mic audio only goes to the primary PC that it's connected too, and doesn't get distributed to both the 3.5mm output jack and the USB c output stream. This unfortunately makes it useless for a 2 PC set up sadly...

I couldn't find anyone that reviewed this item that was using a 2 PC set up to really give some feedback as to how they got their Mic audio stream to hit both the Gaming PC and sent to the Streaming PC.

I'm now looking for another option... but as for this product... it's great!... but so far from what I can tell, not for a 2 PC streaming setup... Definitely great for a single PC set up, and possibly to use gaming consoles without needing to send your Mic audio to the gaming unit.
