This thing is huge. It’s great for larger dogs. Holds a lot of water. It took a while for the dogs to get used to it but once they realized it was water they enjoy it. Holds onto a lot of water, and constantly keeps going. Has a filter with a spare filter to go with it. Very easy to clean. Everything comes apart and wipes away clean. It doesn’t make a mess and spray everywhere, it stays in the fountain. It looks nice sitting out. It’s hard to see how much water is in because the plastic is very dark.not very loud. Can hear a bit of water trickling.

My Saint Bernard can go through a lot of water during the day so this 7-litre auto water fountain really cuts down on the refilling of her water bowl.

I really like the design of this water fountain, we did try a different auto water fountain before but the “fountain” part was not in the optimal position because when a rather large Saint Bernard head goes to drink… you need a lot of clearance. With this dog water fountain, the fountain part is placed in the corner and doesn’t extrude out allowing more room for access to the bowl..

The water fountain is easy to assemble, the filters just go into a plastic holder so it’s very easy to access, remove, and rinse. I only mention the rinsing part because my Saint Bernard drools… a lot. So although the task of having to refill her water bowl repeatedly has been solved, depending on the day’s drool level, I found I had to rinse off the drool from the pads. It’s not a fault of the water fountain, but I think for dogs that do drool a lot… this could be an inconvenience. At the moment, we decided to run the bowl sans filters and it seems to be working out ok.

The build quality is very good and you can see a lot of thought has gone into the design… like positioning the fountain in the corner, and the higher sides so it’s more splash-proof (although for my dog, the sides need to be about 2 feet high since she’s a very… “active” drinker. The base is wide enough so even if it gets knocked a little, it won’t tip over, and the clear reservoir makes it easy to gauge the water level throughout the day.

We have the fountain in the kitchen since that’s where her water bowl is normally stationed due to easier cleanup and close vicinity to the sink for frequent refills… anyway, the hum of the pump is not really noticeable since the fridge is nearby and you don’t really hear the waterfall… but when it’s dead quiet in the house, I do instinctively glance over to the sink faucet when I hear the fountain, lol.

Overall, I can’t find anything negative about this auto water fountain. I think for medium to large dogs, the 7-litre size will definitely cut down on the refills, it’s well-made and well-designed. It offers 4 stage filtration which is great but for dogs that slobber/drool a lot… you may get a film of goop on the filters.

The blue LED light that seems to cut through everything is the least of the issues - the first and foremost is that this is terribly loud and my dog won't go near it.

I'm a month too late to return it (look for it discounted on FB marketplace!) and even with forcing this to be the only water source, my dog (who has NEVER used toilets before) would try and get to a toilet as soon as the lid was lifted.

In terms of cleaning, it's fine at that, but since it never gets dirty, since it's loud (both the pump and the water stream) it couldn't really GET dirty.

Before I got this, they have once huge stainless steel bowl that we were refilling multiple times a day. The water was getting everywhere on the floor as well. They also drink out the fountain even though they have their own. Let me tell you, this fountain gets clogged fast! Our dogs shed and the fountain finds the fur. It is nasty!! So we do take it apart and clean it often. I like that it has a light on it so we know when to replace it. Blue means it is full, red means fill it up. It is very quiet. I wish it was a little louder. I actually like hearing fountains and was hoping this would be loud enough for me. It isn't a make it or break it at all!! I am noticing that since I have been using this, my English Mastiff is getting acne on her chin. I may have to look into finding a stainless steel fountain. I hope this one has that option, I haven't checked yet. If it does I will get it!!

 Questa è la prima volta che uso una fontanella per i miei cani, perciò prima di dare il mio giudizio ho voluto provarla per un po'.
Arrivata nei tempi previsti e ben imballata, è facilissima da montare, all'interno si trova un manuale in varie lingue compreso l'italiano, con istruzioni per il montaggio e pulizia, i filtri, scovolino e pinzette per la pulizia, la ciotola in plastica e il motore con cavo d'alimentazione.
Per il mio cane era la prima volta che usava una fontanella, l'ha studiata a distanza per circa 24 ore poi ha iniziato a bere poco per volta, dopo due giorni ne era innamorato, la cosa importante è non forzarlo, deve avvicinarsi con i suoi tempi.

PRO: È capiente ma non ingombrante, la parte superiore dove il cane si abbevera è ampia e quindi adatta anche a cani di taglia grande come il mio che è un incrocio con un amstaff di 45 kg, poco rumorosa, si sente a malapena il rumore del motore e dello scorrere dell'acqua, ha un utilissima luce blu posizionata sul motore, che permette di vederla bene al buio, trovo che sia molto comodo il fatto che l'acqua sia a scorrimento continuo, così il cane non deve attendere ogni volta che la parte superiore sia piena per bere, e rimane sempre pulita e fresca per questo non è necessario sostituire spesso l'acqua e pulirla, io lo faccio ogni 5 giorni, è impossibile per il cane rovesciarla come farebbe con una normale ciotola, è robusta e semplice da montare e pulire.

CONTRO: L'unica nota negativa per quanto mi riguarda è che non ha delle maniglie laterali per spostarla quando è piena, essendo abbastanza pesante va riempita sul posto.

Sono due settimane che il mio cane la sta utilizzando, all'inizio era un po' impaurito usandola per la prima volta, adesso l'adora, funziona benissimo, l'acqua è sempre pulitissima e anche fresca come appena messa.

Le mie conclusioni sono che è veramente molto utile, il cane non rischia mai di rimanere senza acqua, e io non sono schiava di una ciotola che va pulita e riempita più volte al giorno, pertanto la consiglio a chiunque abbia un bimbo pelosetto a 4 zampe.
