The screen was perfect and camera was partially defective. They gave me some ideas to work around the problem and I finally got an image. As you can see the quality of the image is excellent. Descent monitor for the price. I use it with the VGA input and it seems to work fine. Note that the screen type is TFT and not IPS as advertised towards the bottom of the web page below the specifications section. The viewing angles are close to that stated in the specifications (120°H/100°V), and definitely not 178° as stated below the specification section. The connector inputs are situated towards the bottom, facing downwards, so there isn't very much clearance for my VGA cable when using the stand. The stand can barely sit flush on my desk - even when fully extended - due to the minimal cable clearance.

Pros:

- Clear and sharp display with the right settings. Better than my other display actually.

- Light enough to place on top of things like an XBOX or mounted onto a trolley or whatever

Cons:

- Unless it's mounted, the display ports are obstructed by the stand and the wires might lift up the display, assuming straight connectors. I also bought a Sanus 360° Pivoting HDMI Cable along to negate this. You can also pivot it upside down and change settings to make the display upright, but then you'd have upside down buttons and logo.

- Fingerprint magnet screen, don't touch!

- Problem with connection to PC where the outer parts of the screen stretch outside the display. Use custom settings to fix it: Resolution 960 x 720, active pixels 1024 x 768, refresh rate 60Hz, using NVIDIA control panel. You can also have widescreen resolution at the cost of black bars.

- Edit: Turns out the vesa mount points aren't even aligned vertically (only horizontally), although it's so lightweight that just two screws is enough to hold it on a monitor arm

Overall I think it's a great little display with a few circumventable flaws for less than 90$

The display is crooked meaning that if using for a computer display where there are clear horizontal rows of graphics or text near the screen edges, it's very apparent that the image is crooked. Tested with multiple inputs.

It's not clear if there is any way to fix, the panel is actually glued to the front case and even if the adhesive is cut, there doesn't look to be a lot of wiggle room to make an adjustment to the alignment of the panel within the case in order to straighten the display.

Edit: I was able to detach the panel from the case after disassembling it, and reattached it with better alignment. It's not perfect but it's OK. Not really OK that you need to disassemble it to fix their QC issues.

This monitor is durable. I've owned it for years. Alas, after all these years EYOYO still hasn't upgraded the stand which is pathetically janky. Eventually, I had this modified so that I could attach a solid Dell stand to it and it has served me well in this regard ever since. Very handy for running a diagnostic screen on the side of your PC for constant monitoring of system performance.

Although this monitor will produce clear, crisp images I don't recommend it if you plan on fitting some of those images (such as your desk top) to the screen as icons and windows will disappear at the edges of the frame on some display settings. This monitor does NOT have a ZOOM function which would be very handy because of this issue and I marvel as to why it doesn't.

Two things wrong: No zoom. Janky stand. Two stars removed.
For such a monitor the price is not realistic.

Initially I liked the unit as it did what I was looking for in a monitor, ie. hdmi input and reverse image capability. It worked for a while (bought in late June) and then a little over a month later, the screen failed. Part of the image is there, but most of it is blue and looked like the liquid in the display has leaked within. It was mounted solid in a RAM mount and never dropped, so I see no reason for the failure other than low quality.

I contacted Eyoyo and they replied that the monitor is under warranty, but they failed to provide me with details on how/where to get it repaired. 2 subsequent emails to them remained unanswered.

*Update* Eyoyo contacted me and provided me with details on how to send it back for an exchange. Amazon helped with the process and in the end, offered a full refund. I'm happy with the outcome...the product itself, not no much.

In a world of monitors the size of a bedsheet, it's easy to overlook that sometimes small tasks call for small monitors.
This is not a primary monitor for a thousand column spreadsheet or a CAD modeler. It's great for passive monitoring like status indicators for a build or for carrying to setup servers that will spend most of their lives without a monitor.

My favorite feature of the Eyoyo is that it has every video input that matters. HDMI is there, of course. but it also decodes the older analog input from RCA jacks or a VGA DB-15 connector. If you're hooking up a "classic" gaming console or tiny computer (Original Pi, the C.H.I.P, or even a video iPOD (cable not included) having that RCA composite video input is super handy. It also supports HDMI, which provides sound and video on the contemporary connector. You can leave all the video connections plugged in and switch between them via the on-screen display.

The unit is small enough to keep in your bag of tricks if you're having to enter the pre-boot environment, such as BIOS for a server upgrade or backup recovery for a normally headless system.

Text was clear and bright.

As a bonus, there is a 5V/1A USB output for power. This is useful for things like an LED "ring' light (not for the camera itself), powering Single Board Computers, or powering network gear. This is a power-ONLY USB-A.

I could never really get the aspect ratio right when testing on my iMac. I think that MacOS just hasn't had to support 4:3 in so long that it just doesn't. Honestly, that's a bit of a silly combination and I didn't research it much. This monitor Just Worked in high resolutions on all the tiny computers (CHIP, Pi, Pi Zero, old desktop Linux, UNIX systems, game boxes and more. Text mode, though tiny, worked as well as all the respective GUI environments.

It does come with a bracket that's probably best mounted to a wall. The wires at the bottom edge can be a bit crowded when the cables have to exit and them make a right turn to miss the desk.

In all, I appreciate the size because I share it between several systems that are USUALLY network connected. Picture quality was good and the variety of hardware connections is handy for a gadgeteer.

Please note the instructions don't mention it but the nut that is used to attach the base to the monitor is actually held in with the large base knob. Simply unscrew the knob from the back and screw it into the front hole with the square nut to pull the nut out. Then put the knob with bold back on the back of the base and through the base hold and twist on the nut slightly. You slide the nut with bolt into the slot on the back of the monitor and tighten. Works fine. Even has proper vesa holes. I have attached pictures showing the knob and nut.
