This eyecup fits the Sony A7CR perfectly and is secured by an extension that slides into the hot-shoe. It is much more effective in blocking stray light than the fixed EVF surround that comes with the camera, and I plan to keep it permanently attached to the camera.
Extraneous light is blocked out. A person can not effectively use this piece of equipment with eyeglasses. The photographer should remove his/her eyeglasses and then adjust the diopter to clearly see the desired image.
Works just like it should. Too bad Sony decided to leave an eye cup off of the A7Cii. It really makes a big difference. I wish it don’t stick out so far and that it took up the space of the flash mount but I am really glad I bought it and it will remain on my camera full time.
