After going to many geek stores IE: BestBuy, Future Shop, Microsoft. You know, lil Mom&Pop type stores, Asking them to please help me pick a good SSD portable drive. Each and every one of them, gave a small enough drive to be solid state and they all pointed to the box where it said solid state. I would bring them home and plug into a usb,I would instially hear those platters start to spin. The whole reason I wanted a solid state drive is with no actual moving parts is it can handle a lil bump without destroying your drive and your data. I won't put any more effort discussing That. But, buy electronic here on Amazon, you'll be so much happier, even if you need to wait a lil longer.

As for this external drive, you get exactly what it says in the description on amazon and on the box. Now I'm not worried if it get a lil wet or if I drop on the beach in the sand, simply wipe it up and dust it off and is good to go. Thank you Amazon, and thank you for having a trusted store category on your site.

WHEN IS PLUGGED IN TO YOUR COMPUTER, IT'LL EVEN SAY YEP THEY'RE EVERY TB YOU ORDERED. UNTIL YOU TRY TO PUT FILES ON THE DRIVE, AND YOU CAN'T EVEN GET 1GIG OF INFO ON THEM. THAT BECAUSE WHAT IS ACTUALLY INSIDE THE DRIVE, IS ONLY A SMALL SD CARD THAT ONLY HAS A SMALL FILE THAT TELLS WHEREVER ITS PLUGGED IN, THAT IT HAS WHATEVER TB YOU WANTED. PERSONALLY IF IT HAS A CHEAT FILE LIKE THAT. IT MAY HAVE SOMETHING ELS LIKE A VIRUS.

IF IT FEELS REALLY LIGHT, GET IT OPENED UP AND SEE WHAT'S IN THERE BEFORE YOU PUT IT IN YOUR MACHINE

The Samsung T7 Shield is the best storage device I could ask for when it comes to creating Youtube videos. It's impossible to store gaming libraries on a computers base storage; this thing combines the BLAZING speed of an SSD drive with the HUGE storage of classic but slow HDD drives to create the best storage option for any video editor. I edit with Final Cut Pro, including heavy special effects, and I can add layers and effects without any hiccups whatsoever. Importing is super fast as well, and it comes with USB C connections to make the best use of its read/write speeds. I won't ever need to get any other storage, as 4 TB will easily handle even 100 Hour RPGs or 60 FPS footage for editing, and once you're done, just either delete the files or send them off to a slower, large HDD hard drive for safekeeping, and you've got 4TB free again for fast, reliable storage. The design is similar to the 2 TB Samsung SSDs, but it's sturdier with a tougher looking shell and form factor, so if you're heading outdoors, it'll suit your needs too, for example photographers looking for a formidable and reliable storage option. BUY IT!!

Dysk przeznaczyłem na backup. Łatwo włączyłem szyfrowanie z pod Windows (na dysku jest program do włączenia szyfrowania - jest na partycji tylko do odczytu). Nie zauważyłem aby szyfrowanie spowolniło dysk ale nie mierzyłem dokładnie transferów. Mogę polecić ten dysk, kupiłbym powtórnie.

The T7 Sheild ssd is excellent, fast, reliable, sturdy, ip65 water resistant and encryption password are excellent features. It also works smoothly on Android and Windows that I use. For this I recommend it for everyone. But its App for mobile platform is unreliable and lets it down (works most of times but not always)!! With a password, the times when the app doesnt work, there is no way of accessing the data!! Samsung owes it to customers to make the app work reliably everytime especially after so much money we pay! T7 Sheild is 5/5 but app is 3/5.
