This substrate is ideal for increasing humidity in the terrarium and is totally safe for frogs, salamanders and burrowing or digging animals. The Exo Terra Forest Moss is extremely absorbent and is recommended in humidifying shelters such as the Exo Terra Snake Cave or Reptile Cave. It is also an ideal egg-laying or incubation medium.

I got this for my hamster, I don't love the format. You need to soak it in water and then dry it out, so it takes some time to actually be able to use it for your animal. It's a bit high maintenance for me, but the product is good.

It’s mediocre. As other reviews said, I also did get some stuff that was not moss, paper or something so it was a little off putting. If you’re using it for animals be cautious.

Tiny bricks but when hydrated you get a lot.
