My bride inadvertently cut our ethernet cable to the computer room while closing a door. At the time we were using CAT 6 and still have it running our IP TV and office laptop, set up in the living room, via an unpowered 10/100/1000 Mbps hub emanating from an internet-over-cable ethernet modem about 20 feet away.
Anyhow, in order to prevent any more mishaps, I got sought out the most durable cable I could find, one that also had excess bandwidth should we ever decide to move up from our current plan that runs at a reported maximum of 150 Mbps download and 15 Mbps upload. It routinely runs over that, whether we are using the wifi or the wired connection, though latency can be a bit problematic at times.
At any rate, I got the cable one day after I ordered it, and ran it to the computer room. It does, in fact, look very much like a typical coaxial television cable and is as rugged as I had hoped. After installing it I noticed, right off the bat, that the latency, compared to our CAT 6 cable and wifi, was noticeably lower. Speed, which is limited by both our plan and hubs, was a bit better than when were using CAT 6, and as much as 30%-40%% better than wifi (the spreadsheet shows WIFI vs CAT 8 results, not CAT 6).
This made me think that this product might be overkill, in terms of price-to-performance, when compared with a CAT 6 cable. In fact, after setting it up, I realized that with our internet plan a ruggedized CAT6, CAT 6a, or even CAT 7 cable might have worked just fine, and saved us a few dollars in the process too.
That said, I'm not disappointed to buy this product, if only because it provides us with the option of moving to a higher speed plan (should we so decide too, in the future), as well as the immediate confidence of having the extra bandwidth, lower latency, and, above all, the extra durability that this family of klutzes seems to need.
To conclude, if you have a similar internet plan to ours, and are not worried about your cable fraying or breaking, you might save yourself a few bucks and switch to either a CAT 6a or a CAT 7 cable. But if you don't mind paying a bit more, and future-proofing yourself in case you decide to upgrade, this cable is absolutely worth the money!

I was looking for an ethernet cable that could improve the reliability and high-speed of my internet connection, They are well-made, durable, and they can significantly improve your internet speeds.
Cable was of high-quality materials and built to withstand heavy use. Almost compatible with a wide range of devices, including computers, routers, and gaming consoles.
It can significantly improve your internet speeds, especially if you have a high-speed internet plan or you're using a Wi-Fi backhaul for your Wi-Fi mesh system.
I recommend these cables. They are a good value for the price and will provide you with years of trouble-free use. Also, be aware not to bend them too sharply or yank them out of the wall as it may compromise signal integrity. I ordered the Cat8 cable.
