It does indeed work, but it requires a bit more than the label suggests. In my experience, using 4 ounces of clear glue, I needed 2 or 3 times more than indicated on the label. I haven't tried it with their white glue, but I suspect the formulations differ significantly. Notably, the clear glue dries much slower than the white glue, and it's labeled as made in China, while the white glue appears to be made in the US. Despite measuring and mixing it myself, the difference in performance is notable.
