12/53 light phos bronze stringsI've tried dozens of different brands and different gauges and different coatings and different composition for my Gibson Hummingbird Maple top.This is the only string brand , gauge , and composite metal that sounds completely true to my liking for my guitar . And it lasts a very long time .... Even when it gets old it retains the most bright snapy sound to the end than any other brand I've tried. So now , it's just the go-to string for my Gibson.I have found other strings that better but they are so short lived, that it's just very tedious to keep changing strings every month.The elixir phos bronze nanoweb sounds just amazing from beginning to end of life. It's worth the price . I can change strings 4 to 5 months now . That's amazing.update: 2024:i went around trying other strings again .... ALWAYS get back to these strings. best sounding IMO on my hummingbird mapletop.

Best strings on the market I have used all kinds each kind is unique but these never get that rusty finger smell and they tune perfect and last a great deal longer than most strings. Price is better than it used to be and you get what you pay for QUALITY! I love how these shimmer and shine the bend easy and sound so good you could make the oldest dullest of guitars sound like new!

If you want the best get elixirs I have been using them for 20 years and I've never really been disappointed with them except to say that they are getting more expensive but hey you got to pay to play and if you want the best better fork over the dollars. Always a nice bright warm sound they last a long time they used to have a breaking problem they don't have that problem anymore and they actually have a great selection of gauges and composite materials. If you want the best get elixirs hands down the best strings you can get for a guitar electric or acoustic

Polyweb light for acoustic guitars are my all time favorite strings. They sound perfect for my style and they last a long time. Nanowebs are a little brighter, and the coating wears off sooner. I tried another brand of coated string recently, and wasn’t impressed. They sounded duller, and the coating wore off quicker than the nanowebs, even though they were highly recommended. (Brand start with “D”, well known). Unless they discontinue the Polywebs, I’m not likely to try anything else again
