Some days are very hot and we want our dogs to be comfortable while getting their exercise. I ordered size medium for my 27 lb poodle mix. She is at the upper range of that size, but she’s slim so I thought the next size would be way too big on her. It was the right call. The fit is good, but the suit on the back comes a little too short. Looks just perfect when she’s sitting. Walking with a wet suit, the special material is supposed to give a cooling effect through evaporation. The inside of the fabric felt a bit scratchy to me, but note it’s only on the back side of the body. The neck and underbody has a soft tricot fabric. There is a small tag with washing instructions. There is piping on the back of the suit that is reflective for night walking safety. We will use it for very hot days. I would prefer a softer fabric.

This cooling vest is simple, lightweight, and nicely fitted for keeping my dog cool in the sometimes brutal heat. She's tall and thin, with a deeper chest, so finding clothes that fit her properly can be a struggle sometimes. Things end up being too short along her back or too baggy around the neck and so forth. This one fits her really well, really evenly where I need it. If your dog is much larger, particularly if they are wider and overall rounder, these might be cut on the narrower side.

It also does seem to keep her cooler for longer, though she doesn't like to be wet, she does seem to tolerate wearing this, which is a plus. The reflective elements are also nice to have for night walking or similar, and it seems to hold up pretty well so far to her crazy type of play.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this and do recommend.

My dog is a very dark brown colour, almost bl ack, so when we walk him in the summer he tends to overheat. This vest has helped a lot keeping him cool and to shield him from the sun. The size fit him perfectly. It is a little difficult trying to get him into it without another person's help. I wish it had velcro straps or a buckle instead but it is still a very useful product

This cooling jacket fits well and keeps my dog cool, which is important as we've been hot with a heat wave for several days. She still needs to go out, use the bathroom and stretch. This has helped shield her back from the sun, however does not enjoy being wet. I need to wring out a lot of the water so she's only getting 50% of the efficacy, but the fact she doesn't come back in panting heavily is worth her being temporarily annoyed.

This cooling vest seemed like a great solution for our Pug. His breed is very prone to dangerously overheating so we tend to keep him indoors with AC during the summer months, but really he hates being cooped up. He actually loves the sun and being outside as much as possible so we hoped this vest might solve all our problems. It probably would in theory, but the problem is he hates wearing it. Like many Pugs our boy hates water and being wet, so wrapping him up in a damp vest is pretty much his idea of torture, at least if the looks he gives us are anything to go by. And not only does he dislike having it on, it is a nightmare trying to get him in it! Unlike his harness and winter coat this does not have straps that can be opened/closed. This vest has to go over his head, and then his legs need to be placed in the correct openings - easily done, I am sure, if only your dog weren’t squirming and wriggling like a fish on land. Bottom line? For the right dog this is probably a great idea, it just isn’t right for our little guy.

As you can see from the photos, Rosie isn't exactly a fan of this but she's the best model for size - And I didn't even put it on damp. If I'd wet it, I think she'd have sulked at me for the rest of the month.

I have three cattle dogs and I think I will use it for Rosie's brother who is a 14 year old, and bigger than Rosie. He's blind and deaf and likes to sit in the sun so this should be good for him.

The vest itself is very light, and once you work out how to put it on the dog, it's fairly simple. It may well be easier to put it on dry and to spray it with cool water every hour or so. That, I still have to experiment with.

So far this seems like a nice jacket, I'll update if I get any problems, but for now five stars.
