Updates at the end!I’m very impressed for the price of these!I had trouble configuring them … wanted to bridge them but I had to configure it as dhcp first then switch them to Bridge mode… else I’ll buy a third one soon :)Update: my isp change my plan to 750mbps now I’m reaching 650 on my iPhone12 while wired I’m reaching 780mbps insane result for something they told us max is 500 ;). I have two of them (1front&rear). Outside I can reach (at 20feet from the house and about 30feet from the rear HS) around 100mbps (remember walls interference) which is pretty neat!I didn’t buy the security package since I’m running DietPi + PiHole as DHCP/DNS filter which block 97% of bad traffics in my home.I put my wireless speedtest and the speed from Eero.—————-Updates—————-Now almost 1years of use… already put one under warranty and it wasn’t easy… if you’re a network specialist with specific needs then put that aside… they will tells you that you don’t know anything and they will point your VISIO (in pictures) not being proper for their devices… I had to argue over 20emails and calls for a bad wifi signal… after they sent me a new Eero everything went great with the 2023 model… now my second 2022 is loosing signal intensity (strength) and isn’t able to push over 250 download and 120 upload… while I have 750 plan up and down (real speed is 780). My 2023 is able to push 600 on both side over wifi5 on my iPhone12 from 6-10ft from the hotspot… my 2022 is not able to achieve that since a week now… my first 2022 (I had 2) had a bad Ethernet port (cutting every 30min) I had to switch on port 1 and the strength was terrible on wifi5 which I wasn’t able to achieve 200up/down…I hope the 2023 models is better! But from now… it still very hot (less then the 2022 models)… I cross my fingers to not live that st*pid warranty process again!Be aware of this before buying especially if you know things about network! You will hit a forking wall with customer services…

This is the simplest router install I’ve ever done. I have a 1020 sq ft apartment and was having some buffering issues with my Firestick 4K in the office. I did some signal tests which confirmed Wireless AC was having a hard time covering the office which is at the opposite end of the apartment from the router. Once I installed the Eero 6 the signal was much improved in the office and video buffering hasn’t happened once. I have an M1 MacBook Air in the office and ran speed tests before and after the Eero 6 installation. My internet package is 150 down and 15 up. I was getting about 110-120 down on Wireless AC. With the Eero 6 I’m getting 145-150. This router also has great security features available. I highly recommend this router due to the easy setup, excellent performance and available security features. The security features come with a small subscription cost after the initial trial period. I like the information provided by the base security package which is $3.99 per month.

I've added a 2nd Eero 6 and created a wired ethernet backhaul from my living room to my office. WiFi in my office used to average around 400-450 now it's 700-750. I have 2 computers connected to a switch for full speed. The Eero 6 mesh network is great for people with 1Gbps or lower internet. The new Eero 6E is better if you have a connection faster than 1Gbps. I highly recommend the Eero products. They are simple to setup and the iOS app is great for managing the network.

These may be on the expensive side but if you want a very fast mesh network and are not technically inclined these are an absolute breeze to setup and provide fast, rock solid service.

Just bought and installed this system, what an improvement in our connectivity to our wifi!
Our router was getting old and so we started the trouble shooting process to find out why the wifi was switching between our wifi settings randomly.
This system sounded good and comes with 3 different levels (price points for increased speed) and it has been working great! Saved us the grief of buying a new, faster router, & changing all our associated device passwords, plus the stations actually look unobtrusive on the counter.
It came with 3 separate wifi signal amplifiers, one for each floor of our house (I think the one base unit would have fixed the issue &;done the job) and now there is no delays. I can only imagine what the highest (higher cost unit) wifi level speed would be?
Easy to install & easy to add all our components, and allowed us to use our original wifi connection & security!

I’ve been searching for reliable mesh systems and this was it!
I had issues with other brands’ mesh products which compete at the same price point as this eero set.
Ever since I got the eero, those issues (extenders preferring to connect to main router with weak signals rather than connecting to close by mesh with stronger signal, devices not switching over to other mesh) are gone.
The app is also very intuitive and makes the setup very easy

I had such a problem with dead spots in my house, I just took a video of the place where I had the worst dead spot, in order for me to survive in that room I had to increase my phone data because the wifi was so bad, I would be so frustrated at trying to watch Netflix, YouTube videos, researching crypto and so on because the wifi would just be poop!! Then I researched on mesh and was about to but the google brand when I came across eero, so I took a chance and let me tell you, I have had this baby for 6 months, it’s been a blessing, I cut back on my phone data, got rid of cable tv and premium channels cause I got the iptv box that works with wifi like a champ!! And best part no buffering no slowing down no nothing and I got 6 users in my house, mom, dad, brother, daughter, wife and me. I probably over killed my house with these errors but it’s been wifi perfect. So my house is 4500sqft, bought the eero router and three mesh cubes, like the one I am reviewing and no problems at all, nothing, nada, well worth the money!!! So much so my brother-in-law was having the same problem at his house and he bought the same unit with the router and poof!! Dead spots gone, wifi to the rescue. So after you reading all of this, is it worth it, I say yes and yes and oh yes again!!! I opted for the monthly payment plan to be able to pay off the units. So that helped too as it wasn’t a burden to pay for it one shot. Okay well let me wifi out here. Be safe out there with covid 19.

1 x Eero 6 router in small house (950sq/ft),
1 x Eero (wifi5) in garage connected with backhaul ethernet cable.

Approximately 45 devices total including direct ethernet connected desktops, Apple TV, iPhones and many smart home devices from various manufacturers.

Had run this setup for years with Airport routers with excellent results.

Setup of the eero's was simple, straightforward and worked exactly as expected. Setup Homekit Secure router settings in both (with new firmware) and connected all devices

Pros
Easy setup
good app
great interface

Cons
unreliable wifi
some devices would connect to wrong band (with Band Steering on)
some devices would connect to wrong router

While most devices connected to the correct router, there were numerous devices that would connect to the house router (from the garage) and vice versa. So, rather than connect to a device 2 feet away, they would connect to a router 100 feet away through 3 walls.

While this was an issue, the dealbreaker was for no apparent reason, the wifi would drop out 2-3 times a day. Netflix or Youtube would buffer, the network would go down, and then would come back up. Checking the app would show it offline.

In addition, there is no way to force 5ghz band connection, so my Apple TV 4K (2021), a brand new wifi 6 device would connect over 2.4ghz limiting throughput to 70-80mb/s, even though I have a 1GB/s internet connection, and it was 10 feet from the router.

Both routers returned to Amazon.
