How long the luteinizing hormone (LH) surge, triggers the release of an egg, lasts can vary from woman to woman. During the LH surge, LH can reach its peak in just a few hours (“rapid onset”), or it can take up to 6 days to reach peak before ovulation (“gradual onset”).

For the most part, I am very happy with these test strips. I've used a couple of different kinds of test trips before and these ones for the price I think are very worth it. Sometimes my results are a little bit confusing where I see both lines are very dark. But it's giving me a reading that's a bit inconsistent (note The last 2 results in my screenshot, where I've been given a low reading. But just by looking, it doesn't seem like my levels are low by viewing the physical test result), But overall, I have to say that I do enjoy these tests and I do recommend them to other women who are trying to conceive or who are trying to avoid pregnancy using fertility awareness methods.
I've just purchased the pack of 100, And fingers crossed. I don't need to use them all And my partner and I can have our rainbow baby.❤️
The only thing I would rate maybe 3 stars for accuracy is the app itself. And not the test strips! So the test trips for me get five stars across the board.

My suggestion for ladies out there like me. Do a trial run first on the first 1-2 cycles to learn how to interpret your results. Even if your line never gets as dark or darker than the control line, it doesn't mean you didn't ovulate. I recommend temping in conjunction with OPKs to confirm your observations. Also start your opk testing early and test 2-3 times a day. I started mine on CD11. If I didn't start early, based on my crappy long, irregular cycles, I might have missed my O on my second cycle since I O'ed on CD17 instead of CD26!!! These kits are so cheap and easy to use once you figure it out. I also find this better than the digital OPKs. For my second cycle, I actually used digital OPKs in conjunction with these cheapies and I never got a smiley on those! and there's no way to tell you when you are approaching your surge! At least with these, you can test frequently and see your progression! Thanks Easy@home!
Previous review:
I have long, irregular periods ever since I came off bc a year ago (ranging from 31 to 53 days!!!) and didn't know when I ovulated so I decided to try opks. Unfortunately, I think I'm one of those women where these opks aren't sensitive enough for me. I started testing on CD11 after my period ended. I started testing once a day at around 2 pm. Then I increased to twice a day starting around CD17/18 (fmu and 2 pm) and then around CD20 I did 3x a day (fmu, 2pm and before bed), closer to the time my Fertility Friend app said I was in my fertile period. From the start, even with a 3 to 4 hour hold, and even with first morning urine (which you aren't supposed to but I tried anyway), I didn't get a test line at all. My opks would be stark white with only the control line. Then all of a sudden on CD26, I FINALLY got a test line, however it was still lighter than the control line and never a true positive. My fmu had a test line. At around 3-4 pm, I still had a test line that was a wee bit darker, then by night it was gone! I took that as a positive anyway and BD around that time. I continued testing until I ran out of strips (yes, all 50 strips!) and didn't get a test line again (other then that one day on CD26). Unfortunately this cycle I'm out so I'm not sure if I never ovulated, or somehow missed my surge (which I think is unlikely, considering I was testing 2-3 times a day), got a bad batch or something :(
I really wanted this to work. This product was priced well, packaged well and each strip comes in its own foil pouch and packed in a box. I'm going to try another cheapie brand in tandem with a digital and see if that works better.
