This product is a great value for the price. I was initially going to give it 4 stars, but considering how affordable it is, I have to say it's a fantastic deal. I've used it several times and it has worked flawlessly each time. The connection is immediate, and the sound quality is impressive given its size and cost. It does sound best when held like a traditional hand mic, but it still sounds pretty good when mounted in the collar area. With a bit of EQ adjustment, I believe it could sound even better. Currently, it's a bit heavy on the low end, but I prefer that to a tinny sound. The battery life is also excellent; I can't even remember the last time I charged it. However, it would be helpful to have a battery display, even just a colored LED indicator. This mic is perfect for anyone looking to improve the audio quality of their phone recordings. It's easy to set up and use, although the instructions could be clearer. Once you figure out how to turn on the microphone part by holding the button down, it's smooth sailing. Overall, it's a really plug-and-play solution once you connect the microphone with the receiver.

I almost gave this 4 stars but I remembered it's dirt cheap. So far I've used it a handful of times and it's worked every time. It just connects immediately and sounds really good for the size and cost. Unfortunately it only sounds GREAT when held like a traditional hand mic (so you end up doing the TikTok thing of holding a lav right next to your mouth) and sounds PRETTY GOOD when mounted in the traditional collar-area zone. For the price and speed, though, you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal. With some EQ I bet it'd sound a lot better, it's a bit "low-endy" as it stands but that's better than tinny in my opinion. I also can't remember the last time I charged the mic itself it just seems to go forever. It'd be nice to have a battery display of some kind though, maybe even just a colored LED thing.

This thing is great for wanting a better quality mic out of your phone. Very easy to set up and figure out especially after you figure out you have to hold the button down to turn on the microphone part. The instructions had some broken English and wasn't very clear on everything, but everything is pretty much smooth sailing and really plug in play once you connect the microphone with the receiver.

The good: Portability and convenience is a huge factor when it comes to the project. It's easy to pick up and take with you on the go and it's just going to be really easy to set up in a short amount of time with no issue. It's also instantly going to give you a much better mic than what your phone could output. It's a great little product for people who want to do a podcast on their phone or take memos. The possibilities are really endless. I'm sure there are plenty of things you can do with this that I haven't even thought of.

The bad: It's a pretty cheap microphone and really for the price, you can't expect the best of the best in quality here. It's still a great thing in a pinch and will easily get you by a ton better than your standard phone microphone.

I don't think anyone is expecting professional quality here and I surely wasn't. I knew pretty much what I was getting into and the quality was what I thought it would be. Could it be better? Of course but that would probably also drive up the price.

Overall: It's perfectly fine and definitely an outstanding value for the price and what you get here. It's going to easily beat out any microphone on a standard phone just know if you are trying to do some podcasting, interviews, or things like that, it's not going to be professional quality.

You will have to go to a microphone with a much higher price point, but I think that is just to be expected. This microphone is more perfect for taking memos or notes during class or something similar to that. It's definitely entry level but will get you by as an entry level microphone.

I used this wireless microphone with my Google Pixel 4a5G to capture my skating coach's voice when I'm on the ice with her. Her voice is very clear in the videos. In contrast, my voice (without the wireless microphone) is barely audible even though I'm only a few feet from her. So, this wireless microphone works for my purpose! The ice rink is a standard-size one, so the range of the microphone is pretty good. I also like the size of the microphone, which is small and very portable. The noise cancellation must have worked, too, since my coach definitely moved on the ice (sometimes pretty fast), but I didn't hear any wind sound.

Make sure you change the setting for the source of the voice input when you use your smartphone to record a video with this wireless microphone otherwise it won't work. I vaguely remember I had to download something from Google (since my phone is a Google Pixel) for this setting to show up.
