Ultra efficace, un seul passage suffit
Ne brise pas les cheveux
Cuts straightening time in half if not even shorter
I like the colour. I like that it's cordless since I was always catching the cord of my other straightener on the handles of my vanity cupboards. Without the cord I don't have to work around it at all or really worry about catching a cord on myself or anything else or burning it, or having it unplug suddenly.
I'm not blown away by the battery life. I had about 8-12% charge left when I was done and you get a few warning. I was on the medium temp so I could see it running out faster at the highest, assuming it would require more energy to maintain the higher temp.
I'm not sure why but there's a texture to the plates? My other straighteners have been completely smooth. But I can see the texture on this and you can feel it when you're pulling it through your hair. I don't really know what this means as far as the end result or what it would do to your hair strands with use. What's the science here? I shall have to Google this...
*Update here: I Googled and watched their video about the plates. Manganese copper alloy plates, designed to flex. The texture in the plates are engineered to the width of the average human hair so it will gather and guide hair during use. So I think with that in mind you really need to pull your hair through consistently in the direction in the plates. I will pay more attention to that the next go around. I don't know how that really works when you want to add waves to your hair since you twist the unit/your hair around for that.
Seemed to heat up pretty quick.
I kind of like that it has a locking button so it's not always open.
I was hoping the stand would have a bit more weight to it. It feels ok but I think it could be sturdier.
I don't think the Corrale is noticeably heavy compared to other straighteners. Might depend how wide the plates are as I've only used a 1 inch straightener. It might be a little heavier since it would have a battery and maybe that's part of the balance between weight and battery life. More battery life would have increased the weight and might have been larger in size.
As for the size, probably bigger than the ones I'm used to. It's not too big though, and I do have small hands but this isn't uncomfortable to hold.
I think it did a decent job, though I could have dried my hair out a little bit more before going in with the unit. I was just excited and thought it was good enough.
I will have to watch some videos to figure out how to get waves into my hair. I don't usually do that but I think it could work well with this unit because there's no cord to work around.
OH! Also, I don't think the outside around the plates got overly hot. Certainly warm, but not burn your hand hot like with my other straightener. Usually I don't want touch anywhere on the end with the plates because heat radiates from the end. Not so much a concern with the Corrale.
I still let the unit cool down before closing it and putting it on the stand to charge. Just my thing. I feel like they advertise like once you're done you close it up and put it on the stand when it's just powered down. Not really something I'd do.
It also came with a velvety smooth carrying case. Might not use it for much except to stow it to protect it. Can't see myself really travelling with this given you need to bring the cable with you (stand optional at that point).
