I purchased it to get rid of the old crappy one. I received it a couple of days ago and installed it the same day. Believe it or not, the installation is much easier than I was thinking. The product looks very nice and popular state-of-the-art design. After using several days it looks much better than the old one. It has high-definition video on the front with a very large screen and a back camera with a wide large reverse review. The video is great even during the dark country night. It also works very well when the temperature drops -23C today. It is a great combination of mirror, dash cam, and backup cam. I would recommend a wireless back camera instead of the long mess cable.

Good dashcam with many features

My dashcam stopped functioning after 5 years, so I just got to look for one that provides the most features without hurting the wallet too much. Found this one totally satisfying my needs on Amazon and placed the order. After a month of usage, I feel very comfortable to leave a review based on my experience.

Pros:

a) The 2k video/picture quality is crispy clear and smooth. It’s even quite clear at night time with low light visibility. I consider this as the essential feature of the dashcam, which this product is doing really good at.

b) Installation of the dashcam is relatively easy considered the number of modules (GPS module, rear camera). I didn’t go to a mechanics/specialist, so it took me less than 1.5 hours to have all installed. It’s only 10 minutes to install the main dashcam piece, the wiring for the rear camera took the most like 40 minutes. All DIYable.

c) The dashcam is mirror type, which is very invisible and won’t block the driver’s view because it doesn’t have to be sticking on the windshield. The 12 inch monitor size is large and interface being user friendly.

Cons:

a) The dashcam is using elastic rubber bands to be hold on the rear mirror, so there is chance that the rubber bands could block some keys of the car’s original mirror buttons. In my scenario, it did block one of my garage door button integrated with the mirror, but I can still press it so it’s fine.

b) The camera of the dashcam can be designed as more expandable because I have to adjust the dashcam to the left so that the car’s mirror won’t block the camera. Or make it compatible with the regular mounting option so that user can choose to mount it on windshield if they have to.

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. Hope this dashcam’s durability can be as impressive as its features.

In general, the product is satisfactory. However, I'm deducting one star because I believe the quality of the rear camera could be improved. Since the back camera is often the primary focus, a higher resolution would enhance the overall experience. Additionally, the screen brightness is set at a relatively low level, which can sometimes make viewing difficult, especially in bright sunlight. I expect the screen to display clear images, similar to how my phone's maps are visible in daylight.

I bought this mirror dashcam for my mom's car. She likes it because it does not obstruct her line of vision while driving. The setup was easy and tidy, without extra stuff sucked into the windshield. The touchscreen mirror is much larger than the factory mirror, so it gives a far wider coverage on the rearview. Upon checking on the output, the videos were very bright and clear. They are automatically looped in the inserted 128g sd card. Overall, I find it a great product. Good value for the money.

Looking into setting up a driving recorder in my parents old car without blocking too much view of the windshield. So picked this one which integrated with the rear view mirror and add a backup camera.

Open the box, the long wires looks like a pain to setup, but there is tools to help guide the wire in the car to have a very clean setup. The backup camera can be wire with the reverse light to have the backup view come on automatically. GPS and memory card did come with the unit, that's great. The charging port also have a usb, which is a nice touch.

Everything is working great at the moment. There is no ir-light on the unit, like the ones on the older driving recorder. It still have pretty clear view at night. Haven't got the chance to try out the collision avoidance feature yet. Hopefully, never have to.

Pros: This is a good unit for all users, the cameras are clear for both front or rear camers. In order to use the rear camera you must sart it from the beginning. or pulg the cable into mirror input socket on device. When using the front you must unplug the rear connector to mirror. Or start with rear plug out of socket and then only front camera will work. This because there is no instruction for both cameras on at same time. Othwise it works realy good when setups are made in configuration setups. Good value for mirror camera once I figured it out. Thankyou for this unit.

After having a frustrating time with my last dash cam due to phone connectivity issues, I was looking for something easier, a plug in and record device as opposed to trying to connect it to a phone first.
Searching, browsing and even more browsing and with so many other dash cams on the
market, we're certainly spoiled for choice.

Until I saw the Pelsee P10 Pro 10" 4K Mirror Dash Cam.

A simple plug in and play set up. Exactly what I wanted. But not only that, they have safety systems built in, which I was impressed with and hadn't seen it on any others..at this Pelsee price too that is. Affordable but not breaking the bank.

These safety systems were for Advanced Driver Assistance System and Blind Spot Detection.
After installing it over the rear view mirror, the rear dash cam is certainly sturdy and not going anywhere.

The straight forward setup up of settings, correcting the time, turning the safety systems on or off and calibrating the sensitivity of it. A breeze to do.

Having now used it for a solid month I certainly do feel so much safer behind the wheel knowing if ever I'm in an accident, the Pelsee rear view dash cam has me covered at the front and the rear. It detects people and other cars swiftly, with beeps letting me know if there's a car coming up behind me left or right.
With brilliant 4k resolution on both cameras BUT drops slightly to 2.5K at the rear cam if the safety features are on. Don't worry, that's still fantastic clarity to view the footage in.

I did have queries though, I didn't like the fact that it automatically started recording as soon as the dash cam turned on, I felt it was wasting footage before I even set off driving so I asked if there would be an update in the future for disabling that or have a setting where it would start recording when the car is then in motion.
Query 2 was that on the split screen for front and rear, would it be possible to switch the rear view to the left and the front on the right, I felt it'd be easier for my eyes to quickly see behind if it was closer to me.
That may have been a more personal note I had but I was assured by Helen in support that it'd be something they'd look into. So yes, they are taking notes of any issues we have to then maybe update them in the future.

I did however run into an issue viewing the files on a desktop. The third party app for viewing it wasn't wholly compatible. An email to the ever helpful support of Helen guided me in the right direction. Apparently I had to slightly change each file name on the front and rear video files then I was able to view both video displays simultaneously. Happy days.
Another hiccup I discovered was that when it's raining, the rear lens gets quite fogged up and misty making it a little difficult to see behind. It's just a big blur of lights behind you with no outline of cars.
I'd suggest to maybe invest in a lens protector for that rear camera..or a camera shield. Maybe something Pelsee could include in future packages?

With this unknown to me brand, originally, I wasn't sure about buying but after other stellar reviews, now knowing it's a quality product and well designed and researched, easy to set up and absolute reassurance that Pelsee has me covered when out driving, I'm delighted I purchased this rear view dash cam.

Pro:
-Cameras work great, you get what you pay and also cams can only catch so much, front cam is by far better quality but no complaints in the back I can see all I need
- Peace that I can see our the back/lane changes much safer, and recording people doing dumb things means if an insurance claim came up I'd feel resourced.
-GPS works great, I stuck mine in the middle of the windshield at the top above my rearview mirror and never notice it
- easy to use, simple display & buttons, simple voice commands work, *must press button on screen to activate voice command
- screen can be brightened

Extras:
-256GB SanDisk microSD card (format on first use in the Pelsee cam unit)
- I used Pixelman 2x 16.5ft 2.5mm male to female extensions to run rear camera thru 8ft SUV + 17ft trailer
- Highly recommend buying always on power supply otherwise your settings time/date will always be lost when you turn off the car and that would be difficult for an insurance claim.

Cons:
- Rearview style mirror camera attachment means original mirror may be too heavy and flop down, I used a rubber band to support, looking for a longer term solution
- Rear camera quality is good-ok, if you wanted the same quality as the front I'm sure one could upgrade to a different camera, I find it perfect fine
- The mirror that covers the original mirror is not as good in my opinion, seems darker, doesn't matter as I don't use it a lot with towing all the time but I may pick up a second rear cam and install that to my SUV so I can always have rear cam on instead of the rearview mirror!
- Wired, must run wires through the car & trailer, wifi/Bluetooth is an option other brands now, more $$$, take your time running wires under the interior car paneling with the tool & a flat screwdriver, double back on longer wire in the GPS line or cut & splice it.
- usb-C charging wire: if you want to keep the original charge method and run to the back of your SUV DC charge port (I did this while waiting for the always on charging kit to arrive) the Pelsee camera charge wire isn't very long, I just made it to the rear port but couldn't hide all the wire under the paneling) ** I wanted to keep my 2 front DC ports open thus I ran to the back, if using a front seat port you'd be fine.
- Wires are short, buy 2.5mm head extensions even if you think you won't need them you can return later
Rear cams take some adjusting to, especially if you go from rear cam mirror to not/regular mirror, give yourself a second to adjust to the change and make sure the actual mirror is lined up for safe driving visibility!
I didn't install the red cable for backup cam distance "lines", I would need to tap into the rear-lights from the trailer to do so and didnt want to deal with it. Not an issue at all, the backup lines are by preference/optional

Ok, so after emailing with support, they asked me if I bought the correct hard wire kit, which I hadn't. I had bought the one that Amazon was recommending. I had actually avoided buying the Pelsee brand one because it had low reviews because as some users reported, it would drain their car battery because it didn't have the Volt Protection Technology which turns off the dashcam if the car's battery voltage goes below something like 12.5 volts or something like that.

The new one that Pelsee was now recommending to use had very high reviews and it specified that it has Low Voltage Protection built in.

So I bought and installed the correct Hard Wire kit, which is this one: https://a.co/d/96tzm2u

The major difference with the two different hard wife kits is that the original one that I bought only had one wire which connected to a fuse that had power all the time, so it was telling the dash cam to never turn off. The new Pelsee brand kit comes with two wires, one that connects to a fuse that is always on and one wire that connects to a fuse that has power only when the car is on and cuts off the power when the car goes off.

After changing kits, I'm very happy to announce that the dashcam works perfectly as I would expect it to. It turns on when I turn the car on and it turns off only when I turn off the car. But not only that, but if you bump the car or mess with it in any way, the cash cam immediately records for the next 2 minutes, but the screen doesn't go on. It records covertly, which is simply awesome!

I love it now and I just updated my rating from 2 stars to 5 stars.

First of all, gotta say that I'm impressed with the quality of this mirror dash cam. It looks amazing. The night vision is insane!

That said, there's a few issues that I hope they'll be able to fix.

I installed it with a hard wire kit so that it can monitor the car 24/7. The kit only comes with 1 red wire and the instructions clearly state that if camera comes with parking mode, to connect that red wire to a fuse that has power even when car is off. So that's what I did.

The problem is that the camera is always on, even when the car gets turned off, the display remains on all the time. Now, the mirrorcam comes with an auto shutoff feature as well as an auto screen-off feature. These features would be ideal, but there's another problem with them. I set the auto screen-off feature to turn off the display after 3 minutes of inactivity. And as I'm driving, it turns off every 3 minutes! I have to keep tapping the screen to keep turning it on!

Pelsee... please update your software so that if the car is in motion, it detects that motion as "activity" and keeps the screen on. If it's detecting any speed or movement, it should not be considered "inactivity". Make sense?

So that could be a simple fix.

The other issue I found on my unit is that the auto shut off doesn't work at all. I set it for 1 minute, nothing. Then I set it for 3 minutes and nothing. It just never shut down at all. So that might need to get looked at.

Another issue that popped up yesterday, we noticed that it tends to get pretty hot and when it does, it kinda shuts down and restarts on you. As we were driving, when we'd swipe the screen so it can show us the front camera, it would suddenly shut down and restart again. Then we'd swipe again so it could show us the rear camera and it would do a whole restart cycle again. But when the cam is cool, that doesn't happen. So that kinda worries me because we live in Yuma, AZ. Right now, the temperatures are still cool, but what will happen when the summer hits and the car's internal temps reach 200 degrees? I don't think it's going to survive one Yuma summer.

So as I was saying... I'm so happy I finally have a dash cam. It's beautiful and I love that as it records full HD video, it's showing the direction I'm traveling as well as the speed, so that's cool.

But I can only give it 2 stars until the issue of it always staying on gets fixed. That is really a big issue that I feel needs attention.

And again, don't get me wrong. I DO want the camera on and monitoring the car 24/7, but it should be smart enough to detect when there's true inactivity, you know, the car off and no motion for 3 minutes and only then the display should turn off. Makes sense?

This product is simply amazing. The live feed from the rear camera has given me a new sense of security while driving. My car is a coupe with very dark tinted rear glass and no wipes, which gives practically zero visibility at night and on rainy days. This device has fully solved my visibility problem. The installation is super easy, and cables can be concealed really quickly with the provided tools. The product is reliable and boots quickly at start-up, working seamlessly with the car and the whole driving experience.

Great little system, very responsive, low light rear cam problems

I have been looking at dash cam systems for months now. Finally had an incident where a dump truck blew a tire and nearly took me off the highway, and decided it was time to pull the trigger. For the money, this system is excellent. My only complaint is the rearview night vision. It's literally terrible in darker areas and renders your rear view mirror essentially unusable on dark highways. The screen is basically black and headlights are over-exposed, so you can't judge the distance to cars following you at night, forcing you to rely on side view mirrors unless cars/trucks are within maybe 20 feet of you. Now, part of this is my problem because I had to install the camera in the cabin behind a standard-tinted rear windshield.

Pelsee seems to make a fairly great product and my experience isn't totally their fault. But even is moderately lit situations, like in a parking garage during the day, the rear camera footage is extremely grainy, with loss of color and "smudging" from longer exposure times. The front camera looks great even at night. GPS seems accurate and matched my speedometer out of the box. Install was as-expected and was relatively easy, it just took time to pull back trim to run wires over the headliner for a cleaner look. I'll probably buy a Pelsee hardwire kit in the near future, but I'm not in a rush and I appreciate that the 12v plug has an included USB-A outlet.

Pelsee: If you're reading this, I'd love to buy a better rear camera to upgrade this system. I'll happily update my review if you offer anything that works with the included rear view wiring and has better/clearer night vision. :)

Also, I'd love to see a pinch-to-zoom option, both for live view and for footage review!
