I have a habit or losing/misplacing things and this adds an extra blanket of security for me. I just hook it to belt loop and put it in my pocket. Only issue is with the sticker it makes it hard to plug in my phone to charge it, so i just put the 2nd one on an old phone case.

I use my phone for birding, geocaching, tracking, iNating, etc. when I am out hiking, thus I like to have it readily accessible but not have to worry about it accidently slipping out of an open pocket unnoticed or being dropped hard on the ground. It comes in handy. When you don't want it, there is a way to detach the leash so it isn't cumbersome. I added a cheap carabiner clip in addition to the provided clip to more easily work with different sizes of belt loops and zipper pulls I might be attaching my phone to.

I had my phone stolen at Mardi Gras this year, so I decided it was finally time to get a phone security measure. This little cable ended up being the perfect solution, and at the right price.

I keep the tab in my phone case and just attach the cable to my belt loop or purse/backpack strap when I need it. The cable is just the right length to be attached to my front belt loop with my phone in the same side back pocket. It looks super cute like that, almost like an accessory.

I originally got it for raves and festivals, but expect it to be useful for other situations as well. As others have said, it'll hold up my phone just dangling from my belt loop, so it seems strong enough for its use, and I'm sure the visual deterrent is a major factor in making me an unappealing target. Can't speak to the longevity yet, but I'll update if I come across any issues.
