Move Over Ringo
I never have played the drums but I do love banging things with my drum sticks. For years I have had a set of drum sticks and I love playing around with them to my favorite tunes. Usually, I pound out a beat on a pillow, chair, or whatever piece of furniture is easy to reach. Therefore, I decided that maybe it was time to purchase a drum practice pad and take my career to an all-new level.I ordered that practice pad yesterday with the regular free shipping option and to my surprise, it arrived today. Now that is super fast. It came carefully packed in a box within a box along with additional airbags for protection. After a careful examination of all the components, I was 100% satisfied that everything was there and no damage.The unit took a few minutes to understand how to put it together as there were no instructions. However. I simply went to Amazon and by looking at the pictures, quickly figured it out. I was impressed with the overall quality. The stand is quite heavy and very sturdy. It uses top-quality metal and parts. The rubber feet are well made and prevent unwanted movement. The pad itself is very sturdy and even though I am not a Ringo Starr or Ginger Baker, as of yet, it has great response and rebound features.Though I will probably never use the backpack that comes with it, it too is well constructed and definitely would be handy for anyone who wants to pack around their complete practice pad and stand in their travels. I gave it 4 stars but I would like to give it 4 1/2 stars. The only reason why I would eliminate one-half of a star is the drum sticks that come with the unit. They are very light and I would not ever use them. Also, 2 out of the six drum sticks were warped. It would be a 5-star product if they included, for example, one set of quality sticks as popped to 6 low-quality ones. Otherwise, it has this future drummer's seal of approval and it is well worth the price. I would truly recommend it to other inspiring drummers.
