How to get the code of course or software?

Our midi pad needs DAW softwares to sound. Computer & mobile devices are compatible. Make sure you download appropriate softwares compatible with these syestems to use.You can seek help from our Service Team for a Melodics or Cubase Kit code through the Product Order Page.

Why there is no sound output?

Our midi pad doesn't sound alone. Make sure you have installed DAW or other softwares on your computer/mobile devices. You can also contact Donner Online Customer Team for a free Melodics or Cubase Kit code.

Seems it is not compatible with my tablet or mobile phone, what's the matter?

Check the input interface of your tablet or phone. If your tablet or phone input port is USB-C, you can connect it with the OTG cable in the package. If your tablet or phone input port is lightning port, you need to buy USB-A to lightning OTG cable.

What systems are compatible with this product?

Our starrypad is compatible with phone, tablet and computer. Android, ios, windows and mac are compatible. Make sure you download appropriate softwares compatible with these syestems to use.

When I connect to my DAW software, it does not respond.

1.Check if the USB cable is intact and make sure the USB cable is connected to the port of your devices.

2.Check the MIDI signal. Select the starrypad model correctly in the MIDI settings in the software settings.

3.Check volume and audio settings.

One or several pads do not produce sound.

1.Check if there are impurities (such as food or liquid) getting into the midi pad.

2.Try to use another interface of the computer, phone or tablet or another cable.

3.Try to reboot the MIDI pad and the computer.

4.Let us know for further help.

OTG Adapter Using Instruction

Generally speaking, the OTG adapter's connection should be Micro USB, USB-C or Lighting. Note: Our products come with a USB-C adapter, if your interface of mobile device is other types, please purchase corresponding OTG separately by yourself.

If you own a Blackbox from 1010musix, this is the controller to get. It truly maps directly to each pad and three pages of functions without even getting to the editor. A great find for the price plus the included midi cable.

I was able to connect the keyboard quite easily to both my phone (My A53 supports MIDI via USB) by an OTG dongle and both my main PC and Laptop.

Used it with no issues on SunVox on both the phone and my PC/Laptops and even Schism Tracker was able to detect and be set up to use the keyboard which I was rather surprised by.

Weighted keys work nicely and the pads and analog knobs had good response when using them in realtime. Would have liked to see the inclusion of at least a simple dust cover if not a case for travel but it wasn't too hard to find a third party one to fit.

Update: Donner reached out after my first review and provided a replacement unit, and it works so much better. The sensitivity of the pads is excellent. It works will be Ableton Live 11 and 12. Great customer service as well!

The unit has nice features, a useful editor, easily connected to Ableton Live, and feels solid, but all of that doesn't matter if it doesn't perform well at it's most basic function. The pads are just not sensitive enough except for the most entry level finger drumming. The required force is too high. I had to strike each pad very hard and it removed any sort of enjoyment or expressiveness while playing. Rolls or ghost notes were impossible. I could do a basic 4 beat pattern but that's it, and had to keep it set to "full level" the entire time. I tried changing the settings (it lets your adjust the velocity curve in the editor) but it didn't help. I returned it.

I’m really happy with the size of this keyboard, it’s surprisingly portable. What you can’t see in the images too well is that the keys have a wood texture on them which was a surprise to me after I unboxed it.

One issue I had though was that sometimes the keys don’t register full velocity all the time which made this a 4 and not a 5 star. Overall this is a really nice keyboard.

I wanted to start using midi during my sessions. This top-rated beginner board came along at the right moment. The Donner N32 has 32 keys but with Octave Transpose (+/-) one can move up/down the scale. Physically, the keys on the board are responsive, not mushy, not much to complain about given the price point on this unit. All of the controls seem fairly intuitive. Donner provides training videos for your consumption but you have to contact Donner and ask for the links.
The unit is very portable - small and light - at 16.5" long, 4.5" wide, and 1.5" thick and weighing in at 1 pound. Once at your destination, this keyboard is surprisingly powerful and able to handle most tasks - it's not in a Studio nor is it as powerful as a full Studio Unit. Although it does have four Program Banks to help keep your interest engaged. The features included on this unit also dont seem available on other similar keyboards competing in the same market, roughly same price.
I required no drivers for interface to make my computer see this unit - it was pure plug n play. The keyboard has a USB-Type C connector port which plugs into a USB-A or USB-C port on your computer or Hub. GarageBand had no trouble 'seeing' the N32 keyboard on my Mac Laptop and on my iPad.
I think this is a very versatile midi-keyboard.
