EC3012

Channeling the power of the pedal

Advanced technology is not limited to the keyboard. donner's responsive damper mechanism on the DEP20 accurately reproduces the detailed damper pedal response of a grand piano. This allows you to direct the resonance of the piano strings for a dramatic and lustrous sound. Lighter at first, the pedal's resistance increases as you pedal, then becomes lighter again on release.

EC3060

Additional Benefits

In addition to its compact and portable design, the DEP20 offers more advantages than an acoustic piano. The dual keyboard mode allows them to play with family, friends or teachers. And, with no tuning or regular maintenance required, the DEP20 delivers perfect sound every day.

Outstanding Tone Quality

Using advanced "sampling" technology, the individual notes of the acoustic piano are recorded and combined to provide the final sound. It is so accurate that your expressions and touch are captured as you play and reflected in the tone, resulting in a wonderfully rich sound that forces you to play.

Innovative Double Tone Setting

Everyone is born to be a musician. Donner 88-key digital electric piano has a dual tone setting function, one digital piano keyboard plays two sounds at the same time, providing more possibilities for your music creation. Let's create our own music with Donner dep-20 digital piano!

Experience a Grand Piano Sound

The sound produced by the piano is only half the story; the acoustic characteristics of the performance venue also have an impact on the final sound. the Donner DEP20 uses advanced technology to reproduce not only the sound of the piano, but also the space around it. The result is so realistic, you'll forget you're listening through the piano's speakers or headphones.

Greater Focus, Fewer Distractions

The Donner DEP20 puts the controls directly in your line of sight, so you can look down, find what you need, and focus on your performance.

Great sounding & inexpensive, full-sized, 88-key practice keyboard!
5 Stars
Great sounding & inexpensive, full-sized, 88-key practice keyboard!
OK. So I've had my Donner DEP-10 for about a week, and overall, I really like it. I think it's a great budget Electronic Piano with some nice features for an incredible price (cost me about $260 with coupon in Canada). Consider the cheapest semi-comparable model at Costco goes for $529 (albeit with a stand & bench) and you're laughing! Donner also sells a version with a wood stand for about $100 more, and a bench will set you back $50, so you're still easily saving over $120 without blinking! As you can see from the photos, the keyboard came well packed and weight was reasonable and solid. Good build quality. The keys have a nice faint ingrained wood pattern to them; the music stand is sturdy enough to hold an ipad, and the overall build seems solid, with no sharp corners or creaking plastic. You can also see from the pics that it's a bit of a chunky munky....I was trying to figure out why it was so fat...well, turns out, in addition to the top speakers, there are a couple of bottom-firing speakers as well, that help round out the Bass and give it the volume of a large piano without distorting. Nice touch, Donner! They also include a metal sustain pedal - and it has a switch on it to switch modes from sustain "off" by default to sustain "on" by default. Not sure when you'd choose to use that...maybe if you're playing all Tori Amos, all the time?Anyhow - how does it sound, you ask? Remarkably decent. Nice rich sound: full and bright with very decent bass, thanks to the additional down-firing speakers. The sustain holds - there's no speaker hiss. Now it's not perfect, and once you get into some of the other voices, the samples are a bit flat at the top & bottom ends, but, again - for the price, it's fantastic. What else? The back panel has a USB midi out, which my ipad and windows 10 laptop recognized immediately, and a connection for the sustain, as well as a triple pedal (if you buy the version with the stand) 1/4" audio in & out as well as, yes...power. There is also a USB in on the back for a flash drive with MP3s on it to play along to! Sorry - no self-powered unit here. USB bus power just isn't powerful enough to drive those large speakers. The keys themselves have a decent, springy feel to them and are semi-weighted and velocity sensitive. I was quite amazed at how much I enjoyed playing on a full-sized, weighted keyboard again vs. my smaller Roland Midi controller. There aren't many controls, aside from Power (which, as a nice touch, you have to hold to turn off, preventing accidental shut-down mid-practice session). a volume slider and six multi-function buttons. If I have any complaints about the unit, it's that, as with many lower-end electronic pianos, some basic functions, like changing the instrument sound, require a combo-press of the function button and a specific key on the piano keyboard itself. This means that you can't change sounds, tempos, etc., easily while playing, as these all become two-handed tasks. I did appreciate the little "click" that plays through the speaker, confirming that you have made a successful change - it helps remove the potential annoyance of not knowing if your combo press was successful. The machine itself comes with eight sounds (Acoustic Grand Piano, Bright Acoustic Piano, Electric Grand Piano, Chorus Piano, Harpsichord, Vibrating Harp, Church Organ, Strings Ensemble), and all are serviceable, but the Acoustic and chorus pianos were my favourite. It also comes with 128 different rhythms / songs to play along to. various drum beats, and common piano options like a keyboard split, chords function and two recording tracks are all useful for the budding pianist. When recording, I was surprised to find you could record both tracks and play them together, but, unfortunately, there does not seem to be a way to record on one track while playing the other, which seems something of an oversight. I did not try the MP3 feature, as I have a cel phone and bluetooth speaker, which seem like they would be less finicky to control, but for a kid who does not have these things in his/her room, it could prove a very useful feature.Other practice features I appreciated were the dual headphone jacks, so you can practice, play or get feedback from a friend or even teacher without disturbing anyone. As it should, plugging in headphones shuts off the speakers. The built-in metronome is another great touch, but a screen to confirm the BPM would have been nice.Overall, this is a great sounding 88-key electric piano for a great price! For my needs, however, I probably should have shelled out the extra $100 for their DEP-20 version. This next model up improves on the DEP-10 with a fully-weighted keyboard with touch sensitivity, more sounds, more direct / feature buttons and an LED screen, all of which, I would have appreciated, but, again - for a first keyboard, you really can't go wrong with either model, and certainly can't beat the DEP-10 for price!!! I do not regret the purchase...would buy again for my kid, if not myself. I'm playing it now and for the foreseeable future! Hopefully, this helps someone with their decision. Thanks!

This is really the next best thing to the reality of playing an actual piano and it has a lot of functions that make it worth the trade for the slight difference in keyboard.
Both myself and my husband love the sound and feel of a real piano. Unfortunately we don’t have the space and for recording, a keyboard of this caliber is really necessary.
The difference in playing is very slight, you have to have an excellent ear to even catch the slight delay between playing the note and the sound and if you aren’t the one playing, you can’t tell at all no matter how good your ear is.
The sound on the keyboard is beautiful 💕 it has good sound on it’s own and it can be hooked up to speakers to fill an auditorium of any size or to headphones so it can be played while my husband is in a zoom meeting!
It can also be programmed to have multiple tones and even to have single keys play different chords! It can make a simple piece of melody turn into a symphony with the right adjustments!
It also can be made to play as different instruments, many keyboards do this, what I like about this keyboard is that you can program it so only half or only certain areas or keys play as different instruments!
This makes it insanely versatile and gives nearly unlimited creativity to someone who wants to enhance a piece of music or compose their own music.
It’s easy to record of off, their are multiple methods to plug into the keyboard with from cords, USB, thumb drives, MP3 players etc
There were two surprises when it came in, I kind of thought it came with the bag it was shown with in many of the pictures. It doesn’t come with that.
I DID think I would have to buy the sustaining pedal, it costs over $200 to buy, I was delighted to find that it was included!! It works great and I thought I would have to buy it later.
The keyboard is a large machine and I’m not sure how portable I would consider it to be. Definitely get it and measure it before buying a bag or case to make sure it will fit as I was surprised by how ‘deep’ it was.
It doesn’t take up a lot of room, except that it is a full 88 keys and that’s going to be fairly long. It has good speakers and a lot of components. It’s definitely a worthy piece of equipment and sturdy. It’s not extremely heavy, but it’s not light either. It’s very much worth it for the sound you get and everything else.

The piano works, sounds, and was easy to assemble.

The only issue is the music stand. Unless you are super super careful, it comes out and all the music books fall to the floor. A design flaw. Otherwise, I'd recommend this fully.

"Absolutely Impressed with the Donner DEP-20 Digital Piano!"
I recently purchased the Donner DEP-20 Beginner Digital Piano and it has exceeded all my expectations. The 88 full-sized weighted keys provide an incredibly authentic piano-playing experience. The sound quality is superb, and I love the variety of built-in voices and effects.

The furniture stand and 3-pedal unit not only add to its aesthetic appeal but also make it feel like a high-end traditional piano. It's sturdy and well-built, giving me confidence that it will last for years.

Setting it up was a breeze, and I appreciate the portability factor. I can easily move it around my home or even take it to gigs or performances.

Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pianist, the Donner DEP-20 is a fantastic choice. It offers excellent value for the price, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

This piano has been an awesome addition to our household. It was super easy to set up and looks great in our office. The sound is also top notch and if I close my eyes I have a tough time telling the difference between that and a real piano.

What a beautiful piece! Sounds great! Easy to put together ! It's a great step up from the little keyboard my daughter had.
We love it 😀 😍

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Digital Piano at a ridiculously affordable price

I've had this digital piano for about two weeks now and I love it, the weighted keys feel really good, very similar to the feel of a regular piano, so much so that if you push a key light enough, it simulates a real piano where no sound comes out and the more force you apply, the louder the note.

The sound is very good too, the speakers are powerful and I'm usually going at 25-50% volume as the speakers can get quite loud.

Its also really nice that you get two headphone jacks at the front instead of the back, its very convenient placement. Just make sure to get an adapter as the opening is 1/4 inch and a lot of headphones are 1/8.

All of this with a nice looking, sturdy piano stand for less than $400 is just a steal. A similar set up (piano, stand and the three pedals) from a brand name would be in the $800 range. For a complete beginner like me, its probably not worth it to spend double.

I didn't use the many tunes and different instrument sounds the keyboard is capable of producing as I'm only interested in piano for now, but there is a huge variety to choose from.
