The converter box works great and produces a great quality picture on my TV. I used the HDMI output, so I can’t comment on the other configuration options. The box works well, but the PVR function with the added USB drive is a little convoluted to use. Also, I don’t believe you can schedule recordings, just record at the time you are watching. I connected a low cost passive antenna and had 5 free local channels in no time.

bought this to replace similar unit. works well but not easy to program (lots of error messages). unit does not allow manual clock setting and is now on the wrong time zone. it works but is not easy or enjoyable to use.

Remote control very poor quality, many times you have to reboot the unit by unplug it from the power outlet. Doesn't record and the USB stick has enough space for it. I'm using 32 G stick. I do not recommend it.

This is a basic TV tuner/recorder for getting over-the-air broadcasts. Nothing special about it. I don't think it even has DOLBY surround audio, but it has a fine HD picture and you can record using an external drive. In our area near Kennewick, WA, I can pick up about 30 off-air channels with an indoor antenna. If I put up an outdoor antenna, I could get about 50 channel, but most are not worth the effort. The box has an HDMI output and COMPONENT outputs for HD and NTCS standard video and audio. It's cheap and works. This is the 3rd one of these I've purchased. Each one seems to last about 3 or 4 years, then for some reason, just stops working. Not a big deal in my mind for a $40 tuner that records.

Piece of junk. Poor quality. Doesn't last. Purchased in Sept. 2023 - stopped working in May 2024.

Edit: After posting this review, the seller contacted me and sent a replacement. The replacement arrived promptly and it works (so far). I bumped the review to 3 stars. The box is a decent value IF it continues to work. I'll revisit this in a few months - if this one lasts, I'll give it 4 stars. On one hand, this was good customer service; OTOH, the seller's website didn't offer a clear way to contact them, so it took a critical review in order to get their attention.

It does not support channels that were already scanned. You cannot just add new channels to what it has already found. Wipes the ones found. I live in an area that needs to view TV from different direction.
