Works well for my setup. I will not be putting my XLR cable through a lot of abuse so a "cheap" cable will get the job done. My setup is on my desk so I will plug in the cable once and leave it plugged in for a very long time. Because of that I'm not too worried about the longevity of the cable. I could see how investing in more expensive and perhaps tougher cables would be a good idea if you're a professional film maker but for all of us home studio types - this will likely do the trick. And the best part is you can replace it if it breaks for a low cost.With all cables that you want to last, keep pressure off of where the cable meets either end plug - this is their typical failure point. I usually tape and knot the cable body around whatever it's plugged into so that when there is an accidental tug on the line, the plug of the cable or of the unit does not get damaged. If you do this, any cable should last you a very long time.

For under $20 cad, a 25" high quality microphone cable for my home studio.. I prefer to NEUTRIK connectors and Mogami cable)
, but these are pretty good quality (also nice and thick), serviceable, and have a warranty. I couldn't make cables until January and wanted them now, so this is a good compromise as it was exactly $40 cad with tax, delivered to my door, for 2 cables. I'm only using these at home anyways, so they won't be put under much stress. Edit: I've taken them out for a few mixing gigs when short, and they can handle being soaked in beer ;)

I believe this is also a Canadian company, so that's a positive too.

I was hearing some 'electronic noise' when using my previous cables - I wasn't sure if it was the cable, or the interface - but it was affecting the noise floor and the sound of the audio. I was thinking of getting the top-end cables (about CAD $80) but they weren't in stock - I saw these Digiflex cables (about CAD $16), read the reviews, and decided to try them. Immediately the noise floor dropped by 6 db! Nothing else changed, and was amazed. So if you think you need better cables, and an affordable cost, I highly recommend Digiflex!
