I did what is suggested, split the hair in sections and put your product then brush thru and scrunch
Do that for each section
I dont use a diffuser, I'm a wash & go girl

The all natural boar bristles are great for all hair types and give your scalp a gentle massage while effectively gliding through your hair and smoothing the cuticle and preventing breakage/split ends. The ergonomic non-slip handle is comfortable to use and gives you good control of the brush. The end of the handle is pointed to help section your hair which is a great feature. It also features a curved, cushioned, anti static brush bed that conforms to the shape of your scalp. Even if you aren't looking to create and define curls, this is a great brush that effectively detangles and is good for. your scalp and gentle on your hair.
This detangling brush can be used on either wet or dry hair. To date, I've only used it on wet hair & it is very effective at getting the knots out of my fine, curly hair. The brush works well to shape, separate and define your curls, especially If you have naturally curly hair.
Finally - a few tips on usage:
***Your hair should be REALLY wet - like just out of the shower wet- when using this.
First apply your detangling solution (you can also add gel either at this step or after creating the curls and prior to drying) and then divide your hair into sections using the pointed tip of the brush handle.
Next, slowly & gently pull the brush through the sections while turning it on the edge so the plastic teeth on the sides define your curls and create "clumps" (I didn't realize these "side teeth" had a purpose until I watched some videos but they are the biggest feature of the brush and what helps creates the perfect curl!). As you're pulling the brush through the sections, angle it either towards or away from your face depending on which way you want your hair to fall. T
As you pull each section through, lightly tussle/shake it so the curls bounce up.
At this point, you can apply gel (if you didn't at first step) and hairspray (if desired) and either let your hair dry or dry it on low speed with a barrel tooth type diffuser.
I am still getting used to this but I think I'm starting to catching on (it takes a bit of practice). I used it last night and let my hair air dry and my curls are definitely more defined than usual and have a beautiful shape and bounce. I plan to try using my diffuser after brushing next time as that usually really ups the curl/bounce factor so I'm excited to see the end results after using this tool.
Neat item that, in my opinion, is a must have for girls with curls!! Just remember there will be an adjustment period to get the method perfected and if you need tips, there is all kinds of info out there about these types of brushes.

My hair has more of a beach curl to it, so it’s not left defined per say, but I could see how if you have properly curly hair that it would be left more defined rather than just puffy after using this brush. Overall this brush is well made and I recommend it.

The materials are quite good throughout and the mauve is a pretty shade.😏
Works well for use with long thick hair like mine.
I wouldn't use with wet hair though to avoid tangling. For that, I still prefer a heavier all plastic large-bristle brush.
Will update if any issues arise with extended usage.
Personally I have fairly wavy hair, and this brush really really helps to create those “curl clumps”
Essentially use some type of curl cream/mousse and brush out by sections to help the curl be defined.
You can use the brush to help direct where you’d like the hair to fall.
If you find a section is drying in a way you don’t want, you can re-wet the section and re-direct it with the brush.
A terrific find!!!
