Installed in my truck for security, and also driving footage. I've had it installed for about a week now.

The Botslab dual dash Camera is a high-quality dash cam that offers both front and rear recording in 4K and 1080p resolution, respectively. It comes with a free 64GB SD card, ADAS, Wi-Fi and app control, night vision, built-in gps and G-sensor.

Installed this on a 2011 Lexus RX350.

I immediately liked the build quality of the camera. It feels solid and looks relatively high end. I also like the physical design of the camera as it has a very slim profile and doesn't look like an everyday digital camera was mounted to the windshield. It looks like a proper dash cam.

Getting the camera operational is very simple. Hiding the wiring through the car can take some work and will depend on your make and model. It was the first time for me to try something like this and I have to admit it was a bit challenging. I did not install the rear camera (yet). I like the electrostatic film solution for mounting the camera, but I still don't really like the visible white square from the outside.

Video quality of the front camera is pretty decent. The 4K resolution gives a very clear picture and it's surprisingly good at night. License plates can generally be made out for the cars directly in front and about a two cars ahead.

The driving assistance is a neat feature but I'm not sure if I will keep it on. If you spend the time to align it all properly, it again works surprisingly well. However, I'm not sure I like having it on. Between the GPS and the dash cam, I just don't like my car talking too much even with the sensitivities turned down. However, I also have young drivers in the household so I appreciate it helping to keep them in check!

The menu system on the camera is also pretty good being intuitive to control and access with the responsive buttons.

Without an additional kit, the camera will not remain powered when the car is turned off. This is required if you want to use the parking monitor feature but it also means that means you can't communicate with the device (ie. to transfer videos) if the car isn't running. I haven't tried removing the SD card (included with the kit - nice!) to read it directly.

Good to know the camera uses a super capacitor instead of a normal battery -- it should be able to better handle both our hot summer days and our crazy cold Canadian winter days.

I'm of the belief that most dash cams aren't that great. However, I think this dash cam offers good quality and quite a few features not found in similar cameras... and it's not crazy expensive. I'm happy with this camera and I think it's a decent pick for someone looking for a dash cam.

I am extremely satisfied with the BOTSLAB G980H dash cam front and rear. Its sleek and unobtrusive design doesn't block the driver's view. The compact size and 2.45" IPS screen make navigation and playback very convenient. The front camera captures stunning 4K ultra HD footage, thanks to the Sony IMX 415 sensor and STARVIS technology, ensuring clear visibility of license plates and road details even in low-light conditions. Although the rear camera has a resolution of only 1080p, it still performs well within this price range.

After looking for dash cameras in this price range I found the Botslab G980H. It's my first dashcam and I'm generally very happy with it. Installation was easy, the camera came with all that you need to get it going, clear instructions.
Pros:
- Night vision is pretty darn good; almost as clear as day video.
- Nice pictures and can easily read license plates and street signs in the front.
- Super simple install. It is reasonably small and unobtrusive. With glare/reflection on the windshield it's almost impossible to see and even when not, it's not very noticeable.
- Special and impressive ADAS feature. More peace of mind when driving alone.
- The static sheet mounting system that sticks to the window with no adhesive has worked great. I prefer it over the suction cup.
- Comes with a 64GB SD card, inserted and ready to go, I don't have to buy additional SD cards and worry about compatibility.

Cons:
-Some features need to be paired with hardware, it would be nice to have the option of an adapted buck cable.
-There are fewer introductions about the use of the best ADAS system, I think most new drivers will need it.

Other than that, have had it for a week and am very pleased with it.
