I was able to install this and place the switch across my garage next to the entry door where, for what ever reason, there wasn’t one. A definite code violation I would think. Works great but I had to mount the receiver outside of the junction box on the switch plate. When it was inside the junction box, approx. 18’ from the switch, it worked intermittently. The receivers has a small on/off button on it as well which is handy. Overall I’m very happy with it.

Purchased this to when replacing a light fixture which previously had a pull switch. Didn't want to have the light on all of the time, so voila: this switch does the trick. Only it does the trick most of the time. Within a clear line of sight (unobstructed) the switch often needs to be clicked a few times to work. Tad frustrating. Still saved me the cost of an electrician wiring a switch for the light, so I'd call that a win

However the leads were to short..next step is to add an approved Lumex plastic box with wiring and pigtails enclosed.

The wireless module that goes in behind your light fixture in the ceiling is bulky, rectangular.. .like a fat ice cube. Whoever designed this must not put up many light fixtures in north american octagon boxes in the celing, where there is already wiring. There's no room for the darn thing. Once I fought it into place, making my light fixture not sit quite flush to the ceiling because of it, I tried it out and it turned on beautifully. Great! until you go to try and turn it OFF again. Nope. nothing. walked around tried different angles, different distances, near, far.. finally it went off. So, to test whether it was just a new switch issue, I turned it on again.. and.. same problem. Won't turn OFF. it only seemed to work if i waited a few minutes after turning it on... what use is that? Took the whole thing down again and bought a different light fixture that had it's OWN remote, but this thing was a waste of time and money.,

Install was easy. Light switch was preprogrammed to the device. The switch always turns my LED undercounter lights on, but is finicky to turn them off.
I changed the battery in the switch (a 12v A23 battery) thinking that it was low at 12.3 v, new A23 was 12.8v, and the success rate for turning off improved from about 60% to about 95%.
If you wait a few minutes after turning the lights on, it is about 98% reliable when you switch it off.
We'll see if this switch holds up over time.

As afew others have noticed, turning it off can troublesome at times, however if you give it 5 or 10 seconds it will usually shut off. It never seems to have issues with turning on.
The range is plenty for me and seems to me it would be good for most people. I don't love the look of the switch. But it's doable. The part that goes in the light can be alittle large to get in, once you find the right spot it will fit right in.

Install was super easy, box is small enough to fit inside ceiling wire box. Switch feels cheap but price was cheap, no problems there

** Shortly after I left my review the company reached out and offered assistance- they sent me a new switch and instructions to program it. it now works flawlessly. super impressed with the level of customer service for such a cheap product.
