⚠️Dekco App is not Compatable with last years Dekco Cameras
First the new Dekco Cameras will not connect using the CloudEdge app. You can only connect the newer Dekco Cameras with the Dekco app. This holds true for trying to load the year (2023) old Dekco Cameras to to the new Dekco app, you can not get them to connect.. So you will need 2 apps just to see your new Dekco Cameras in your home old and new ones.One would think first they would make the new Dekco app compatible with the older cameras then put out the new Dekco app. But I was told on the phone that they are working on getting the old Dekco Cameras to respond in the newer app. Talk about doing things totally backwards for the start, not the brightest tech team at Dekco company! I was told that the team at Dekco will soon have a correction so the older cameras will connect on Dekco so you do not have to use the CloudEdge app any more. But do not hold your breath since they were not able to give a rough month or year when they will have a fix.But enough trashing Dekco, the new Dekco App only with the new cameras is a much needed upgrade to the app. A note to any one who may purchase the new Dekco cameras the power supply is now ASB-A format, not even ASB-C which would be smaller and more up to date connection. The Dekco app has more user friendly items at hand. Here are a few new app features:1- You can turn on a LED light on the cameras (independent for the infrared light).2- You can adjust your Tone and Volume on the two speaker way from camera to cell.3- It has a programmable Voice Alert with 3 possible programmed settings.4- Has an Auto-alarm which can be programed for specific times.5- Its Alarm it incredibly LOUD for the intruders to hear.6- It has Auto Cruise which continually pans in Panoramic, camera checking for intrusions.7- You can move around your menus called Sort.8- A Calibration to show how far left and then right the camera will shoot in the 180 degrees.9- Scheduled Sleep, not sure what one would use this for.10- The power is now USB-A, unfortunately it is not good when you have to extend the power line.11- Lastly the camera will now hold a Micro-SD Card of 512gb, load of room, no need to upload to the Cloud.I would have given much higher rating level only due to the old and new Dekco cameras not compatible with just the one app. Just the wrong way to go about making a new APP!
