We changed our dryer heater about 6 months ago for the first time, it burned out again but they are relatively easy to replace and cheaper than buying a new dryer. Also to note I do about 8 loads of wash a week so it does get lots of use. But we are very happy with this product.

When my dryer stopped heating up, my wife suggested we buy a new one. She didn't like the colour, but I thought I would try to fix it. Two YouTube videos later, I was armed with all the information I needed. I disassembled my Samsung dryer and took out the offending part. I tested it with a multimeter and found that the heater unit definitely had failed. I found the part number stamped on the part and searched Amazon. I found several options and chose this particular part after reading reviews of most of the parts. I ordered the part and within 48 hours, the dryer was back up and running. That was 8 weeks ago and it is working perfectly. I also took the opportunity to give the inside of the dryer a thorough vacuuming, and made a note in my calendar to do that yearly.

I was thoroughly pleased with the part, and the relative ease of installation. I am quite handy and had all the requisite tools, but it's not a challenging fix. It's a bit tedious because of the design of the dryer, but it was accomplished in about 1 hour of work (disassembly, testing and reassembly). It saved me buying a new dryer.

Original part broke after using my dryer for over 11 years. After some disassembly and inspection, I found the coil was broken in one location, so I ordered this replacement part. Fits pretty well, with the exception of the two connecting leads being a bit short. It was easy enough to uncoil a little bit to extend the leads to reach the ceramic connection thingy. I did a visual inspection to make sure none of the coils touched the plate, since some reviewers commented that it was a problem. Finding no issues, I installed the part, reassembled the dryer, and everything appears to work fine. I can't comment on longevity as I've only used the dryer a few times since.
