I had to modify the tool in order to work well.
The spinning part to wind or unwind the string came apart after first use. It's held in place with a srew that came off because it spins along with the winder. There are no lubrication inside it and no washer of any kind on the screw, so the plastic was wearing out. So I added a nylon washer so the metal part of the screw doesn't touch the plastic anymore and I put some lipstick balm as a lubricant where there is friction contact. Also put a drop of glue on the screw's tread that way after adjusting it, it and stays in place.
The rest of the tools is just OK not great but does the job.
This should have been done at the factory, very disapointing.

I recently purchased the Guitar Pro-Winder and have found it to be a valuable tool in my guitar maintenance kit. The winder functions effectively, making string changes much quicker and less tedious. Its design and durability are commendable, and it feels like it's built to last. However, I did notice that the winder is a bit stiff, especially during the initial uses. This isn't a major drawback, as it still performs its job well, but a smoother operation right out of the box would have been ideal. Despite this minor issue, I'm pleased with the overall performance of the pro-winder and would recommend it to fellow guitarists looking for a reliable tool to aid in string changes.

This is not a perfect device, but it is great for the value. It does not do a good job on my clover shaped tuning pegs on my bass guitar. It was also not useful for my regular sized pegs on my acoustic six string. The string cutter, however, does its job perfectly. That is the purpose for which I bought it, so it gets 5/5.
