It's probably more than I need for audio, but I love the additional headroom. The difference between the Crucial drive and my internal SSD may be significant on paper, but it is imperceptible in practical use. Also, the price is right! I'll be getting a couple more of these drives. 😎

This drive is extremely fast. I had to transfer 178gb of data from a different SSD whose speed is rated at 800mbps read and write. It successfully completed the transfer in a shade under 7 minutes. The computer used is a brand new Apple MacBook Air M3. It’s small in physical size at about a credit card cut in half, it comes with a thick, high quality USB C to USB C cable that appears to be built to withstand the test of time. I am impressed and I believe that you will be too!

Comes nicely packaged and unit comes as shown; and I must say it is tiny! While I was originally thinking it would a standard SSD size; its actually about 3/4 the size of a credit card but just a good bit thicker. Weighs basically nothing and is about as fast as my NVMe boot drive is able to feed it data. Would be very easy to carry around and expand storage for anything that has a USB port. Worth noting that it comes preformatted with an exFAT file system - while my PC recognized it without issues - my phone prompted me that I needed to format it first. Was impressed with the throughput of this tiny drive which was giving me 400MB/s reads and 375MB/s writes with my PC with the included cable. Using other USB cables resulted in 1/10th the throughput; so it would seem quality of the cable would definitely impact transfer speeds.

In terms of cons; not sure if I would ever get the full 2100MB/s Read, 2000MB/s Write speed according to the listing; but this still is still about the fastest external drive I have ever used period. For the price; you could buy a couple of 2TB SD Cards I would think but the rugged build of this is more meant for sharing or carrying large amounts of data vs SD; or Micro SD cards. Wish it worked more reliably with mobile phones though - potentially it needs more power than my S21ultra can feed it though. Also worth noting that this doesn't come with auto load software that would require a password as noted on the box; some other software trickery would be needed for that.

Overall, very impressed with this X10 drive. The rugged build; impressive performance in a compact portable package is a godsend for the road warrior. Would highly recommend given the inclusion of some nice software offerings like mylio; though you're likely using this as a good offline option anyway. Loving the 5 year warranty as well.

This is my 3rd Crucial SSD (I have 2 X9s and this). As advertised this is twice as fast as the X9. Read: 2070 Mb/s and Write 1835 Mb/s. So its pretty fast. One other difference I see from the X9 is that this drive runs very cool, X9 gets really hot and I have a fan on top of the 2 drives. This one dont need one. Very happy and hope this wont fail on me (knock on wood).

Ho un Mac Pro con 1 TB di HD interno che uso per suonare. Le librerie dei vari plugin musicali hanno ben presto esaurito la memoria fissa e mi sono risolto a prendere un SSD. Dietro consiglio di un amico avevo preso in passato un SSD sempre della Crucial, il Crucial P5 1 TB CT1000P5SSD8 SSD Interno-Fino A 3400 MB/s, 3D NAND, NVMe, Nero con Case esterno Nimaso. Un disastro totale. Non so perché ma ogni cinque minuti si auto disconnetteva dal Mac facendomi perdere i progetti che stavo suonando… un disastro. Ho preso quindi quest’altro modello più recente ed è perfetto! Vero, mettendo le librerie musicali su SSD avrete forse una impercettibile latenza quando suonate ma non è un gran problema e va benissimo così. Almeno non si disconnette mai e fa perfettamente il suo lavoro. Peraltro è anche molto piccolo leggero e poco ingombrante. Lo consiglio, sul mio Mac Book Pro del 2020 funziona alla grande.

Ho aggiunto questo piccolissimo ssd da 4tb per archiviare i giochi, l'ho acquistato con il suo adattatore a usb 3.0, la console l'ha subito riconosciuto e configurato, devo ammettere che il costo elevato frena, ma la necessità di spazio per i giochi e l'idea di portarmelo dietro per le future consolle con usb 3.2 l'ha fatta da padrone, potevo prendere il 9 pro, ma tolto il dente tolto il dolore. Sappiamo tutti quanto costa un ssd da 1tb della nota marca e ci stanno 5 o 6 giochi moderni 120/300gb quindi ho fatto due conti e al costo di 2 ssd da 1tb ora ne ho 4 quindi "conviene", oggi ho trasferito dal hd interno 2 giochi e ho letto una velocità di trasferimento da SSd interno al Crucial Pro 10 di 2.2/2.3 GBs usb 3.0 direi che è andato oltre le aspettative e a giudicare dalle prove dei concorrenti non c'è gara mi sa che posso lanciare i giochi direttamente dal dispositivo senza doverli trasferire GG
