Empower your next-generation, multi-core CPU on the go
Crucial DDR5 Laptop Memory has the high speed needed for the next generation of multi-core CPUs¹, but it’s not just faster than DDR4, it’s better. Multitask seamlessly, load, analyze, edit, and render faster — all with higher frame rates, significantly less lag, and optimized power efficiency over the previous generation².
With Crucial DDR5 Laptop Memory, your laptop can harness blazing speeds that were once only possible with extreme performance memory³.

|
---|---|---|
Extreme performance right out-of-the-boxCrucial DDR5 Memory can transfer data up to 1.75x faster and deliver up to 2x more bandwidth than DDR4, resulting in shorter load times, file transfers, downloads, lag time and improved refresh rates. Performance is enhanced not just during testing, but in real-world conditions². |
No latency downsides with DDR5Crucial DDR5’s system latency, measured in nanoseconds, is only up to 3% longer than DDR4 during testing⁴, meaning real-world latency performances are virtually the same. With Crucial DDR5 delivering up to 2x more bandwidth, DDR4 is still outperformed. |
Optimized power efficiencyFor improved efficiency and stability, Crucial DDR5 introduces on-module voltage regulation with a power management integrated circuit (PMIC), which was on the motherboard with older memory technologies. This results in improved signaling and cleaner power regulation for the modules (SODIMMs)⁵. Moreover, DDR5’s on-module operating voltage is only 1.1V compared to DDR4’s 1.2V. |

Micron X Crucial — quality and tested reliability you can trust
As the vertically integrated consumer brand of Micron, Crucial is trusted by millions for reliability, performance, and compatibility. Unlike module assemblers, our unique relationship with Micron involves a deeper level of engineering that delivers powerful performance you can trust. When it comes to memory, don’t settle for less.
1. Only with a DDR5-enabled CPU and motherboard. DDR5 desktop memory is not compatible with DDR4 motherboards.
2. Under memory-intensive workloads, DDR5 can deliver up to 2x the bandwidth, per an internal simulation of dual ranked x8 modules in client platforms.
3. DDR5 launch speeds of 4800MHz are comparable to extreme-performance DDR4 memory speeds and are 1.5x faster than maximum standard DDR4 speeds of 3200MHz.
4. Compared to published DDR4-3200 speeds.
5. DDR5 modules (DIMMs) introduce voltage regulation on the module through a power management integrated circuit (PMIC), which enables better power regulation and reduces the scope of DRAM power delivery network (PDN) management on the motherboard for increased efficiency.

DDR5 RAM has drastically improved gaming performances, not only with the increase in speeds using less power but also with dual-channel performances on single sticks of RAM. This 5600 MHz is not the fastest DDR5 (Max that my motherboard can support), and there are, of course, better performing, more expensive options out there that will provide slightly better performances for 5600 MHz, but keep in mind that video cards, motherboards, and other factors play into how much performance you can actually get out of the ram, mostly based on overclocking capabilities using decent heat dissipation technologies, though air flow matters the most. (I have a mini PC with decent, but more constrained air flow movement and I already had a heatsink for my RAM and heat transfer pad to add to this, so I did not need to consider that in my purchase.)
If you are looking for stable mid-budget RAM that performs very well with the normal clock speeds your motherboard is able to support, this is a great choice that will not let you down. (This RAM can be overclocked but I wouldn't bother.) There are also some other cheaper options out there, but having tried some of those myself, I strongly suggest paying a few more dollars to go with this brand instead, which has never let me down on both their RAM and SSD products for many years now.
Great choice at a decently fair price. (Great if you can get it on sale like I did with my purchase, but worth it to pay full price too.)
What impressed me most was the reliability and stability of this RAM. I've put it through its paces with long coding sessions, intense graphic design work, and even casual gaming. Not once has it faltered, showcasing the quality and dependability Crucial is known for.
The speed and efficiency of this memory have significantly reduced my system's load times and improved overall responsiveness. It feels like I've given my computer a new lease on life. Considering the competitive price point and the noticeable performance boost, the value for money is exceptional.

So far seems to be performing fine.
You dont really notice anything if you dont go looking for it or havent had problems.
My laptop ran fine on 16gb, no issues playing games and streaming on 2 platforms at once. (Elden ring, lies of p, darksouls, prince of persia, streaming on yt and fb or twitch at the same time.)
Havent noticed much difference but i could push it even more now if i wanted to.
Laptop does recognize extra ram was put in, filling both channels now and its been using more ram since.
