I have never bought gels before, so I'm not sure how to compare them against other suppliers, but based on my experience with these alone, I thought they were of pretty good quality for the price I paid ($13.89). I received 2 sheets of 7 colors each. The thickness was good. There was a protective plastic on both sides, which was nice, so I could draw over them with a sharpie and cut out the shape I needed for my lamps, then remove the plastic (and stray sharpie marks). The yellow and green, looked a little greenish and bluish, respectively, but if I doubled them up, they looked more rich. The red and blue look good without having to double up. I would say that it's nice that the filtering isn't to aggressive, so I have the opportunity to use two filters to generate a wider template of colors.

 Used these pieces for my 9-pane door to cover the glass. To do this, you need to clean your windows really well and dust around them. Have your pieces cut to size (I used a piece of paper and folded where the window ends, then a sharpie to mark the lines on each of the 9 pieces, then used scissors to cut the two longer edges down), just slightly smaller than the size of the windows. If it’s too big, even by a little, it will bubble and slowly peel off. There’s a very thin film on both sides that you need to use your fingernail to peel off. After peeling with your bare fingernail, use plastic gloves so you don’t smudge the rest with your hand oils. Spray distilled water evenly on the section of window you’re covering. Peel the corner of just one side of the color plastic, just a half an inch or so. Peel the other side of the film completely, place it face down on the wet glass. Use a credit card to smooth out the bubbles on the side that still has the film. If you have small bubbles that still won’t come out, pull off the whole color sheet and try to add another spray of water before placing it down again. Once it’s in the right place and the bubbles are gone, you can take your slightly peeled corner and take the rest of the film off slowly. The panels are NOT STICKY but this water method makes them easy to remove if you’re renting or want to change the pattern later. The water evaporates and they stay until you take them off manually. I LOVE how this turned out, and will be trying it on another window soon but I may need to order more. You get two sheets of each color shown.
