Edit after 2 weeks of use. See below dashed line for my first impressions. Will be absolutely returning.I might have kept it as a backup mouse just for change of hand position from my other ergonomic mouse, but the issues that reared their ugly heads make this unit essentially defective from a driver stand point:-Drivers in windows 7 install but won't run since windows gives the warning that the drivers are unsigned and won't be used for security reasons. The default windows drivers stopped working as well after installing the Windows 7 drivers from the contour website. So no way to customize buttons.-Windows 10 drivers seamed to work at first, but then the scroll wheel would constantly stop responding. Unplugging the USB dongle or pressing the "reset to default" button in the Contour software would get it going again, but only for a few minutes. So while I don't like the mouse from a comfort perspective, these defects in manufacturing and driver support are deal breakers. Very disappointing for a small company who you would expect a more reliable experience and better customer service from.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------First impressions. Ill try and remember to update after some trial use:Generally, Cons out-way the prosHand size: man (smaller size - see photos)Sorry for caps. Just replacing bold for emphasis.CONS:-NEEDS MORE PALM SUPPORT: Always twisting palm to rest on back end of mouse, which defeats the purpose of an ergonomic mouse to keep with wrist in a neutral position.-FRAGILE THUMB REST: Needed to buy extended warranty to guard against thumb rest breaking based on other comments.-DIFFICULT TO MAKE SMALL ADJUSTMENTS: An easier glide with a stop lock would be a better design than friction lock in my opinion. Unless a stop design would be more prone to failure/breaking.-SCROLL WHEEL ON THE THUMP POSITION: in my opinion and experience, this is what causes a large amount of arm and back issues. Constant use of the middle finger to scroll. I would have it in both locations like the logitech ergonomic mouse and be able to use both for vertical scroll to allow relaxing one digit occasionally.-SIZE AND PLACEMENT OF "MIDDLE" BUTTON: I feel we are all used to middle button on the scroll wheel now and this is confusing. I like the idea of a middle button, and understand why it's not in the mouse wheel on a vertical mouse, but I would either put it near the thumb or switch the location with the right click button. The current middle button location isn't something many of us have used for 20 years, and it's confusing since on current mice, this is where the right click button now sits in relation to the scroll wheel. Hopefully the drivers allow reversing the middle and right clicks.-HEIGHT/SLOPE OF LEFT CLICK BUTTON: Very few mouse manufacturers get this right. At least for my hand. I don't like when this button aggressively slopes towards the desk. I prefer this button to be more domed so my finger tendons aren't stretched to press the button. Another issue that plagues me from a back pain aspect.-INSTRUCTIONS: Some poor instructions. Not terrible, but a legend for the dpi colour scheme (since instructions are black and white and dpi are coloured lights), would be useful. Not a big issue for me since Im not a gamer. Also, they show that the dongle should always be connected to the cord and adapter. Is this correct? I plugged the dongle directly into my keyboard usb port and it seems to work fine.-USB to MINI USB CHARGING: not a huge con, but going forward this should likely be changed to USB to usb-C. Again, not a big issue since most mice people own would be mini usb.WEIGHT: Is very light. could use some weight to avoid inadvertent movements. A palm rest that allows some vertical force on the mouse may suffice in place of weight.LACK OF BLUETOOTH AND DEVICE SWITCHING: At this price point, I see these as something that should be considered. Even for $5 to $10 more it would be a good option. Not a big killer since the dongle works fine, but Bluetooth allows some more elegant options. Especially for laptop users and travellers. Also a good backup if the dongle is lost.NO DONGLE RECESS IN MOUSE: For safekeeping, this should be standard on all mice.I appreciate that this is a thoughtful construction for a mouse. And from what I can see, the company who designs this mouse are in the US or Canada. But still made in China. Hopefully the company exerts good quality controls on materials and assembly.All-in-all, I realise most of this review is negative. With more use, I may come back and revise my rating and/or add more positive comments. I hope the designers take these comments as intended, which is feedback to help them improve the design. Because very few people are doing customizable ergonomic mouses.EDIT: After about 1 week of use.Seriously considering returning the mouse. I downgraded from 3 to 2 stars for the following reasons.1-800 tech support number is USA only, not North AmericaOkay for me since I have free USA calling, but when I called their regular non-800 number during their stated business hours, no answer from either tech support or operator. Operator's mailbox simply states a name and beeps without any indication it is the main company general voicemailDRIVERS: So far the drivers have been terrible.Windows 7: they supply drivers, but windows refuses to use them since they are unsigned. So they get installed, over ride the working default windows drivers, and then the mouse just doesn't work. Had to do a restore point on my windows 7. Thankfully windows created one immediately before driver installation.Windows 10: Drivers and software installed properly. However, seemed to be working fine for a few days. Maybe a recent windows update changed something. But now the scroll intermittently cuts out now. The two solutions to this issue are:-reset the mouse configuration to default via the contour driver management software, or;-unplug and replug the wireless dongle/adaptor.Okay if it was once per month, but not for 3 or more times a day.A note about my photos: the paper strips are lined up exactly with the body of the mouse at it's most extreme length or width (not including the thumb rest). The mouse is at it's flattest prone position as it came out of the box (so not rotated into it's vertical position at all). The perspectives in the photos are a bit deceptive since it looks like the mouse edges go past the paper strips. They do not. The place the paper meets the ruler/tape measure is the true edge of the mouse.

This mouse is almost perfect. Comfortable, clicky but sensitive, sturdy, medium weight compare to my other mouse. I owned more than 20 mouse in my life and this one is the best. The software that you can install with it is detailed and you can customize all the button to your needs except macro.

It really feel natural to have it at the maximum angle for the natural handshake position. I already own other left vertical mouse and this is by far the best of them. It as a good texture and when set in the right position you can easily lift it (that need to happen often in FPS game).

If you have pain and trouble with your tendon like I do, please do some research on the mouse wrist rest, there are a no go for us because they contribute to the compression affecting or tendon. I've done some research and since doing that and having a vertical mouse, it have really improved my situation.

The Unimouse is sturdy and don't feel cheap like my Razor 200$ mouse. You can even subscribe online to have a one years addition to your warranty in total 3 years.

Having some sort of pinky little finger rest and the ability to do macro would make this mouse a 10.

It's expensive, but you get what you pay for and nothing compare to this mouse yet.

I've been searching for the perfect ergonomic mouse and this is the best I've gotten so far. Very customizable, I like the left, right, and center clicks. the forward and back buttons are satisfying. Mouse wheel is fine. The whole thing could be a bit more grippy to keep my hand from sliding. The pinky rest has a nice grip on it, I just wish it was on the palm too. If you want to lift the mouse and move it, its a bit awkward to lift the heavy thing with the thumb and pinky.

The thing I like most about this product is the ability to adjust the shape/position at any time.
I adjust the positions depending on how my hand/ wrist feels most comfortable, whenever it is most comfortable to do so. If one half of product comfort comes from the product characteristics (like type of cushions on a couch or textures on a mouse), the other half comes from being able to shift positions at your own volition (like shifting from seating to lying on a couch or like shifting from vertical to horizontal mouse).
It usually takes me less than 5 seconds to shift this mouse positions and it always feels natural to do so. Once I have my new favored position set, the mouse stays stable in that position. The ability to change mouse speed via a hardware button also helps in the same sense.
The Windows drivers worked well for me on Windows 10.
I use this mouse in my full-time job so the cost was worth it for me. I feel less tension in my forearm and less strain in my wrist since using this mouse. I have had it for a few months now and I am very pleased with the purchase. I recommended it to a co-worker who used a static vertical mouse.
'Large' gloves usually fit my hand.
I usually use this mouse on a mouse pad and I haven't had any trouble on regular laminate or wood desktop surfaces.

They sent me a used item, NOT NICE AT, however, I decided to give a try, it may seem like the best ergonomic mouse ever but is not, for the price you expect a lot more but even if it would cost 30 bucks I would not keep it, Is incredibly heavy for a wired mouse, so I imagine the wireless version is even heavier. I do not recommend this mouse and also be aware you may receive a used item.

This might be a bit more pricey compared to other ergonomic mice but this mouse is the most adjustable mouse I've had the pleasure of using.

It's a little heavy if you're used to gaming mice and it might take some adjustment to right click with your ring finger but it's definitely worth taking the time to get used to it. The adjustment options for the thumb rest, the angle of the mouse body itself might seem a little bit weird but as someone that has to live with carpal tunnel syndrome, this mouse has been a god send both at work and at home.

Seriously though, if the idea of the joints in your hand having needles stabbed into them and losing a significant amount of your gripping strength in your hand doesn't appeal to you, don't skimp. Get a proper chair and keyboard while you're at it. Seriously, don't skimp, there is no cure for carpal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Ergo Mouse I have tried
Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2023

I have tried many different types of ergonomic mouse, some right handed, some left handed, yet this one is definitely the best!I am very glad that I have found it accidentally. Just started using for a day so cannot speak to its actual battery life, but it is definitely very comfortable.
What I like about it so far:
1. Adjustable: the angle adjustment is already awesome, the thumb rest adjustment is even better. Some reviews says it only go back and forth - it is INCORRECT. If you put a little force on the top part of the thumb rest you will notice it could rotate on top of the ball shaped base. So you can micro adjust its direction to make sure it work to your liking. I have small hands, but I like to use my mouse in certain way that none of the previous
2. Programmable buttons: I have not yet customized them but the default middle button is double click, which is a delightful surprise.
3. Wireless: the dongle has been working very well with my Macbook.
What I hope it could improve:
1. Bluetooth as a wireless option
2. Battery indicator
but all in all, it is a very solid left handed mouse and it looks good.

Great Land Ape
5.0 out of 5 stars Great mouse, slightly awkward forward / back buttons
Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2022
Size: Right-hand WirelessVerified Purchase
So, first, the only thing I really wish was different: this is wireless with dongle, not wireless with Bluetooth. But it doesn't claim to be otherwise, so can't hold that against it. As is, I primarily use it as a wired, but it's a nice potential option for if it should come up.

Ergonomics are great, just about infinitely adjustable, really like it, even the center wheel: except for the side forward and back buttons. Now, I generally don't use those (actually disabled them), but if I did want to use them, they would be extremely awkwardly placed. They seem way too far back, and given how the thumb rest is adjustable, it would have been nice if they could have been incorporated into the thumb rest itself, as there's often a lot of distance between my thumb and those buttons now.

The customization program: I actually liked it. Seemed usable enough, if not "pretty". I was able to set my sensitivity to where I wanted it, make the third button a triple click (I often have to select blocks of text for work, real time saver there) and disable the pesky side buttons to prevent accidental use, so it's fine for me. But I have a misty half-remembered fondness for DOS Shell, so I might be broken inside.

Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2021

Let me start by saying that this is my favorite mouse I've ever used and I plan on buying back ups. Now with that out of the way let me tell you about the struggles with this mouse.

The 1st time I used it I had major trouble trying to grip and lift the mouse off the pad to reposition the cursor on the screen. The first time I did it the mouse slipped right out of my hand! Very awkward grip! This is major for gaming as the mouse is constantly lifted off the mouse pad and repositioned. I found that there was only a small strip on the side for my pinky to grip the mouse and on the other side was my thumb in the adjustable cradle. I tried using the mouse this way for weeks and had alot of pain in my thumb and pinky due to squeezing the mouse very hard when lifting it off the pad repeatedly. If I didn't squeeze hard the mouse would slip out of my hand. With a normal mouse your ring finger would help with the lifting but with this mouse your ring finger is used to press mouse2 so I found that it put alot of strain on my pinky overtime and eventually the ball of my thumb began burning from the repetitive excessive squeezing. And yes, I repositioned that thumb cradle in every possible position with no improvement. Another downside is the positioning of the mouse4 and mouse5 side buttons for your thumb. The adjustable thumb cradle is positioned so far away from these buttons it makes them almost unusable. You CAN adjust the thumb cradle to sit directly next to the side buttons but the angle provides no good grip and when you attempt to press the side buttons you completely lose control of the mouse as your thumb is no longer holding the mouse. Because of this I gave up on using the side buttons for the 1st couple weeks.

I almost gave up on this mouse entirely but eventually I came up with a simple solution. I added a small pinky sleeve(picture) on the side of the mouse made of brute force tape and painters tape. This completely relieves my pinky and thumb from having to squeeze the mouse when lifting. I can now effortlessly lift the mouse up and have no pain now. Also I eventually discovered that if I position my thumb in between the adjustable thumb cradle and the body of the mouse(as shown in the picture) I can now easily press the side mouse button. Mouse5 button is still way too far backward and I have to crunch my thumb up in an awkward position in order to press it(shown in picture).

In conclusion, this mouse is almost brilliant.

The 70 degree maximum tilt is very comfortable. I feel no strain in my arm and wrist when using this mouse. I wouldn't go back to a normal mouse after using this one.

3 mouse buttons instead of only 2 is AMAZING! I'm spoiled now and cant go back.

It has a great sensor and doesn't skip no matter how fast I move the mouse. (I had to stop using the perixx perimice 513L mouse for that reason)

I got the corded version so I don't know about the battery life.

The quality is good. It feels sturdy and well built. Doesn't feel cheap

Now I wish this company would modify this bad boy with some kind of pinky sleeve or better gripping feature. The side mouse buttons and the thumb cradle need to be totally redesigned in my opinion. Great idea but bad execution(burns the ball of my thumb from squeezing and terribly awkward using the side mouse buttons!!)

Okay, now I'm gonna purchase one or two more of these bad boys for back ups....lol

I hope this helps somebody out there!
