Used to be an excellent tripod - quality has dropped.
I bought this tripod around 3 years ago and it's served me very well. I'm in the process of getting a second set of equipment, and I went in my order history and ordered the exact same product again, expecting the same quality I got the first time.I was disappointed to find that the tripod head is no longer metal. I believe it was originally constructed some some sort of painted aluminum alloy. Now it's cheap plastic. It's not even premium feeling plastic, it's a rough textured plastic that you usually see used in garden pegs or other plastics made from low-grade recycled plastics. I'm disappointed. It seems like only the tripod head is different. Now, this tripod is more expensive than other ones on the market. I actually purchased a less expensive one first to find that it's of lower quality than the one I own. Then, I went and purchased the EXACT same product as the one I own to find that it's been made using cheaper parts. You can buy all fluid all metal tripod heads from Amazon, but then it adds to the cost and you have to essentially throw the plastic one away. I would be willing to pay 15 more dollars for a good quality head. Now I have to return this product and keep searching for a good tripod again.I've attached pictures for reference. I have done my best to try to capture the difference between the metal and plastic parts side by side. Take a look.

This is a fantastic Tri-pod if you are looking for something lightweight, easy to use, and won't cost as much as a Manfrotto.
It's got a nice design, it's pretty simple to use, and the ball rotation level is fantastic for getting those lined up shots.
If you're looking for a fair priced, lightweight, and able to be carried without issue, I would 100% recommend this tri-pod.

This tripod is a tremendous choice among other options in the market today. I've broken this down into PRO's and CON's because there are a few nit picky negatives, but I say GET IT!
PROS
1. Grip - The tripod is easy to adjust and rock solid in any position. Portrait-landscape position changes are easy and instantaneous. Grip is good allowing it to rotate freely.
2. Great construction - It is solidly built, but lightweight.
3. Adjustable positions - The main legs can be independently adjusted to any angle allowing for almost any configuration you could think of. The center shaft can be promptly raised or lowered in height.
4. Carrying bag - The tripod can be put in or taken out of the bag without removing the head. The bag is high quality with a zipper, and comes with an Allen wrench.
5. Solid as a rock - stable!
6. Comes with an instruction manual which provides a quick overview on the features and how to use them.
7. Tall. Over 5ft, which is very nice.
CONS
No cons.
Overall, this is a great tripod with a vast bang for the buck.

I decided to purchase this tripod after having ready multiple reviews. It's a nice and sturdy tripod. I love the way it folds down so that it has a small form factor and easy to transport. It comes with it's own travel bag which is good. It is not a true "light, compact travel tripod" like the Vanguard VEO 2 204AB which I almost bought. I tried securing this tripod to my manfrotto DSLR backpack and it won't fit, it's too big. Reason I went with it though was because looking ahead, I might use a DSLR cage/jig and add my shotgun mic, 7" monitor etc to it, and the Vanguard can only handle about 9lbs. This tripod can handle like 26lbs.
I don't mind sacrificing the weight capacity over portability so I'm happy with the purchase. I would recommend it. In an ideal world, I would buy the Vanguard 204 as well for those times I was just going to travel and needed something light.

Going on 3 years with this tripod. No issues at all - ball head is convenient to transition to vertical shots. I’ve had as large as a D800 paired with the 24-70 f2.8 on this tripod. It was able to handle the weight without drifting but a little less weight is ideal for this tripod. Performs well even on windier days.

Was looking for light weight yet rigid and versatile tripod. I’ve owned at least 7 tripods so far and this is by far the best! I researched a lot of models from very expensive to Walmart types. Went and saw tripods at Walmart, Best Buy pro photography stores etc. The ones that felt sturdy were very heavy and expensive the ones that were under $100 and $50 range were either too flimsy and bad quality or no functionality.
Compared prices, brands and very glad I chose this one. Very light yet feels very strong and sturdy. Very functional. It’s also beautifully made, folds compact and when open its stands tall I’m 6’1” tall and can stand straight without bending back and look through camera view finder.
The carry bag itself talks about overall quality. It’s a very well made bag with thick padding inside and not just a thin nylon bag.
Time should tell how this fairs in field. I’m going to use this for my Canon 70D, for travel and semi pro photography.
There’s nothing in market at this price for this quality from what I researched and saw.

I am more likely to use this as a monopod for photography rather than a walking aid, but obviously it could be used in either way during a walking trip. I like that it's continuously and quickly adjustable in length between 54cm and 171cm, and can fairly easily be packed away when not in use, what with its handy but perhaps rather superfluous carrying case (I am more likely to carry it in a rucksack). Neat also to have a retractable 'foot' that can be turned to expose a spike for extra grip. It feels pretty sturdy and well-made, but as other reviewers have said, it remains to be seen just how sturdy it will be over a lot of use. We'll see how it goes...
