Affordable Watch Straps: Consider Chlorine Exposure
I decided to try out these watch straps after experiencing two original Apple straps ripping within a year of daily use. For the price point, these straps are quite nice. The additional straps in different colors were a pleasant bonus, allowing me to switch up the look of my watch.However, one thing I didn’t consider before purchasing was their resistance to chlorine water. After frequent trips to the swimming pool, about 2-3 times per week for two months, I noticed the strap starting to lose its matte finish and developing white spots around the metal parts. It seems these straps aren't well-suited for chlorinated water, though I can't speak for saltwater.Despite this, considering the price, I don’t regret the purchase. I still have 5 more straps that I can use for regular wear, reserving this one specifically for the swimming pool. Overall, a good buy if you're not planning on using them in chlorine water frequently.
